help with my pc and graphics
I have had a problem with the graphics card in my pc which has crippled my pc and I have uninstalled the software.I have gone to bot the Packard Bell and ATI sites and downloaded new drivers but neither seem to work. Is there some way other than opening the box of finding out exactly what sort of graphics card I have?
Thanks

you can find what graphics card you have by going
control panel, system, device manager then it is under display adapters.
RE: help with my pc and graphics
You may not be able to find out the graphics card chipset from Control Panel as you have overwritten the drivers with seemingly incorrect drivers. Maybe a utility called CPU-Z will tell you but I wouldn`t be surprised if it doesn`t as Windows XP does not usually allow direct access to hardware as most I/O access is driver based. Since you may have incorrect drivers, CPU-Z may report incorrect graphics card chipset.
You may be able to find out from within the BIOS or observing the report from the BIOS after you boot up the PC - it usually will tell you. If not then it`s a case of opening up the PC but that`s an easy task to do.
