Page 1 of laptop fan not working ?

hello i have noticed recently that my laptop is getting hot and was wondering is there anyway i can do a test to tell me if its the fan?
when i turn it on the fan kicks in for a few sec`s then stops,and thats normal, but i never notice it again but i tend to notice how warm my legs get...i`ve tried to listen for when it kicks in but i either don`t notice if it has or i have missed it...
any ideas and if you think its the fan are these things much and easy to fit? thanks loads.. :¦

Cut up some paper into tiny squares and put it on a table behind the laptop and see if the pile gets disturbed.

Get a can of air duster & blow it through every vent you can find.




I consider myself an optimist, albeit an optimist with cynical tendencies and a dark side that Lucifer himself would find a little creepy. (Perhaps you've noticed.) You don't normally associate cynicism with an upbeat pov. But I have exactly that combination and will defend it.

I hate answering the phone at work - It disturbs my sleep.
