I have just been into my account page on PLAY. All the £ signs have changed to Dollars $
This is on all pre-orders and past orders.
Now, beacuse I have noticed this, should PLAY be liable to sell me those items at the $ price? Essentially making the items even cheaper?
I have emailed them with the details, including a screen shot, showing the mistake!
The last time this happened with a DVD showing £12.99 then going up to £14.99, I queried it and they had to sellme the item at the lower price.
Is this happening to anyone else?
Of course Play aren`t obliged to sell to you at some bizarre new price.
Good of you to bring it to their attention though.

I hadn`t noticed the dollar signs but noticed something was up when the availability date for my preordered lord of the rings box set seemed to say 11th of april though 06/24/2002 on dead or alive was a giveaway of american dates
happened to me and I thought it was a little odd, but they seemed to have sorted it out now (together with the US date format that also went up). And bless` em for sending `Last Orders` on time as well!

I have sent them three emails, asking if they are going to honour the $ prices, as they are cheaper when converted to £.
Not received any replies back yet though!
Probably p***ing themselves laughing at you.
My thought exactly sashenden.
What do u want them to do, refund the the money from past orders aswell since they will work out cheaper if charged in dollor`s. :)
Seems like a perfectly reasonable suggestion to me..

I see the point that I was trying to make, has completely escaped some people! well two anyway :-)
The point I am making is this:-
If you were to buy a product, that is marked with £5 and also £10, the company that has the item, is obliged by law ( from what I understand ) to sell the product at the lower price.
I wanted to see if this would also work with the mistake that PLAY had made.
Well Dan B says their not obliged to sell it to you at that price so I`d listen to him. He`s a lawyer and we all know you can always trust a lawyer! ;-)
