I ordered Bad Boys collectors edition DVD (R2) on cdwow.com, receiving order confirmation via e-mail. They later sent me an e-mail saying that it was out of stock but would be shipped as soon as possible. However, when the DVD was delivered it was the region 3 normal version without any extra features. Where do I stand ?
Go to the contact page on thier website. They have a button to click on if they have sent you the wrong item. Just tell them what you ordered and what they sent.
I just received the Monsters Inc double pack from them. It was advertised on the site as R2, but they`ve sent R4. From what I can see it`s exactly the same content, but could cause problems if a friend without multi-region wants to borrow it.
I`ll drop them a line and see what the situation is.

E-mailed their customer service department. Got a reply saying they would give me a refund or exchange it for another title.
Check the region 4 DVD as my copy of Planet of the Apes was region 4 and 2.
Get a refund and buy it from Play - £9.99. Not sure if it`s cheaper elsewhere though?
I mailed them and got a standard reply saying that they don`t guarantee the region. I know they didn`t use to specify the region, but the MI disc was advertised as R2. They did mention that most R4 work on an R2 player. I`ll try crippling my player and see if it works.
I actually bought it as an Xmas prezzie for my daughter, but I ought to check it before then.

I finally got around to trying out my R4 Monsters Inc on my PC which will only do R2. Apart from WinDVD playing up it worked fine. It does look rather good. It`s a shame I have to wait until Xmas to give it a proper viewing.
I`ve seen elsewhere about different regions having differences. e.g. R2 has symbols instead of writing. The R4 apparently matches the R2 in this respect.

I`ve always thought CD-WOW was good, and the one problem I have had was sorted out ok. But if they say on the web site ad (this is the only ad we have to go by) that it`s a certain region, then that`s what they should supply in my opinion. I know they say they don`t guarantee regions, and if it doesn`t say what region the disk is, then fair enough, you know you`re taking pot luck.
But when it does specifically say a certain region, they should stick to it. I`ve deliberately bought elsewhere for certain disks because of their increasing stock of only R3 disks, which I don`t want.
If it`s a major problem for you, ask at Trading Standards. As far as I`m aware, goods should be as advertised. Not quite sure how it covers the net though, although they are a UK based company.
