Advice With Splash DVD Wrong Order & Region Sent

Hi all

As a newbie to this site I am looking for advice with a problem I have with splashdvd. This is only the second time I have ordered dvds of the net so I am not sure if my complaint is justified or not? am I being to impatient. I ordered a box set/collection Tales From Europe Region 2 consisting of four fairy tales (these are for my daughters christmas) according to their description on their website from splashdvd after finding a £2.00 money off voucher in my email from them. I placed the order on the 13th Oct, I received the dvds on the 3rd Nov, this seemed to take a long time, is this normal? anyway the box set/collection which arrived did not match their description on their web site, what arrived was 2 discs, The Singing Ringing Tree & The Tinderbox and it is in region 0 ,not the four tales as mentioned or it being region 2. I emailed them straight away on the 3rd Nov thinking that they may have got orders mixed up but I have not had a reply as yet. Am I being to impatient?, should I email them again? and what can I do seeing that what they sent me does not match their description of it. Thanks. :o(

Send them another couple of emails. Then call them up. If nothing is done by the 15th, send them abuse, maybe some letter bombs. Afterwards, contact trading standards and your credit card company.

Splash sent me a wrong DVD a few months ago. I wrote to snruter[at]moc.dvdhsalps with my order ref and it took a week before I got a reply from Ian Rowe at Splash who asked that I return the item with a covering letter.

Splash refunded the DVD and the recorded delivery postage too. All in it took about 2~3 weeks.

Welcome to the site, Peat. Unfortunately, Splash have posted the incorrect details for this Network DVD collection. All the other stockists quote this as only containing "The Singing, Ringing Tree" and "The Tinderbox". The box illustration at Blackstar indicates it is a two disc set as well. You may also find that the disc is in the original German with English subtitles. The discs being Region 0 makes no difference, in fact it means you can play the discs anywhere in the world.

Basically, you`ve got the item you ordered, but it isn`t what you expected. Splash may offer you a refund, but you won`t get the discs any different from another supplier. Sorry.

Be thankful you got your discs this side of Christmas. In future, and for a more enjoyable online purchasing experience, you might want to try outfits like Play, Blackstar, or DVD.CO.UK,
