don`t bother with screenselect
:(
screenselect have become a joke business,i have had 1 dvd rental sent to me all week and that was on monday.emailed them about this but will not get a reply til wednesday.
i`ve been a member now for 4 months and in the last month they just don`t care.i would urge people to cancel their membership to teach these crap companies that without customers they are nothing.
RE: don`t bother with screenselect
Service does seem to have slowed rightdown. I think Total Film gave a free month promo so maybe that`s why the service has gone to hell. My renewal is in doubt at the mo.
Also avoid lovefilm for the same reasons! 1 film per week is a joke considering it takes them 3 days from the time they receive it to send out a new one.
RE: don`t bother with screenselect
Just recently joined them as part of my free 30 day trial
Received 4 discs now in <2 weeks, but maybe they are making an extra special effort as I`m a newbie
Intend to cancel before the trial runs out
MailboxMovies is good - I`ve tried the others
I agree, I wa a member of 3 clubs, lovefilm, screenselect and mailbox movies. I ditched the ss and lf cos their customer service was awful. Mailboxmovies seem to be on the ball with telephone response and they are good at throwing extra discs your way if you ghet a scratched one

i cancelled my account with screenselect about a month ago,i was recieving one film a week.i have now joined dvd365 and i am now recieving 5 films a week.the only problem now is finding enough films to put in my list,i would reccomend dvd365 to anyone.

I`ve not had any problems either and I`m on the free trial. Would make sense for them to put all their effort into keeping potential new customers happy, and let existing customers service levels suffer as a result. :(
This appears to standard practice in other businesses. eg Building societies offer better interest rates to new customers than to existing ones.
I`ll be cancelling before the end of the trial and moving on to the next freebie. There`s no shortage of them at the moment.
RE: don`t bother with screenselect
I was an In-Movies customer that transferred to ScreenSelect and I`ve had bad service from them. Emails have never been responded to, the first DVD I returned to them was lost in the post (that had never happened with In Movies) and now I have cancelled one of the two DVD I returned last has not been received, 5 days later. As I understand the conditions of cancellation I will now be charge for this DVD although it was posted at the same time I have no proof of that. I`ve also received a claim form for the DVD that went missing back in Jan, just a couple of days after I cancelled.
I`m sorry I didn`t cancel straight away when the service changed (though I guess I would have been charged for that first DVD that "disappeared").
