Dvdfromasia Problems?

Alex K (Harmless) posted this on Wednesday, 5th May 2004, 21:20

Hi Folks,

Did anyone actually receive their DVD of Kill Bill from this guy? I know it turned out to be cut, but I haven`t even received the thing and its been ages! I have even received the order from yesasia that I made after I found out it was cut (the one from dvdfromasia being cut that is).

I have emailed the guy twice, but he was of no real help. As other people seemed to get a refund for the dvd and for the cost of postage (without having yet recieved their copy?), I seem to get the impression he is trying to con me. He told me to wait until the dvd arrives, then refuse to sign for it, and then I can get my money back and also not have to pay postage. But it`s just the fact I have read about two other people on this board not having a problem and apparently getting a refund without having recieved the DVD at the time...

Maybe I`m too paranoid (but it`s getting on for 4 weeks now), so i`m hoping some other people`s expereince`s can quell my fears! ;-)

Thanks in advance,
Alex.

Hi ... Im one of the 2 people( me + si, of si+sade) who received a full refund from him plus £2.50 to return the dvd back to him ... ive also not received the dvd yet ... if you paid by paypal send him a refund invoice and include a return charge of about £2.50 as it was`nt your fault he was sending out dvd`s that were advertised wrong ,be nice and polite in the message you send with your invoice and wait and see ,I got a refund the same day ...

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the reply- they are somehow reassuring and disconcerting at the same time ;-) I had already done as you said Laughing Gravy and wrote a polite e-mail along with the the invoice (this was after seeing your own post on your success), but was fobbed off. After waiting another week I was polite again and asking if it would be possible to have what you guys had (obviously not worded so specifically) but still not joy. And like Si, I eventually sent a third e-mail the other day but have had no reply (as before he was very prompt in his replies - at least that is something nice to be said about him, hehe). Maybe he just has too many refunds on the go at the minute....? I`d hate to have to go through paypal to claim the money back, but as you pointed out, he is at fault....

Thanks again for your replies, and nice to see someone did recieve a dvd!

Ive still not received my dvd from him yet .... it now sounds like you said, he might think he has refunded enough money but he is wrong, he should really refund everyone as he should have checked the dvd`s to confirm if they were cut or uncut before shipping ...

Hello again,

After all that I have finally recieved my dvds. But the date on the postage stamp says 22/4/04 which is 10 days later than when the bloke said he had sent to me! Ironically he sent his email re: kill bill on the 25/4/04.

I will email him to let him know that I have received the goods and ask him to pay for the postage back to him as well as out full refund. I don`t think I should send it back tho unitl he confirms that he will refund us in full. He still hasn`t replied to the last message I sent him.

Getting closer for the timem to have a word with playpal if I don`t hear anything soon....

Hasn`t replied to me yet - and I`m asking him where he wants it sending to!! The man is a buffoon!

Hmm, how much longer before I`m entitled to keep it.... ;)

Cheers

Quite, but how long do you think is reasonable to wait for a reply before ripping that cellophane off? ;)
