Page 1 of No customs charge...?

Looks like CDWOW have found a way around the customs charge on items over £18 as the warning doesn`t come up any more. :D
"For every sprinkle I find I will kill you...."
No, it`s still there in the T&C (Terms and Conditions), so I assume they only had to display it prominantly for a certain length of time. Now, it`s on the onus of the customer to fully aquaint themselves with the rules, like most things in life.
:(
Just got a reply to my email to CD-Wow querying this.
"Hi Matt,
Thank you for your email.
We are an International company, who source all our CDs DVDs and Video
Games
overseas because they do not carry the same price levy set by companies
in
the UK, thus we are able to offer them to you at a highly competitive
price.
Also the Customs Charge warning has been removed from the site as it
should
not longer apply to customers in the UK (due to our new shipping
routes)."

Interesting email you got there Matt.
I thought that the whole thing that kicked off about 6 months ago between the BPI and CD-Wow meant that they had to source their CD`s from the UK now. Judging by the mail you received it appears that this might not be the case after all.
I actually took a big strop when I heard about the BPI case and have dilligently refused to buy any new CD`s from anywhere in protest for the past 6 months. Maybe I`m actually protesting against nothing?
