DVD SOON LOST DVDs

douglas99a (Mostly Harmless) posted this on Tuesday, 24th August 2004, 10:49

:(
Five DVDs despatched by DVDSOON between
June 22nd - July 19th have gone astray!
Has anyone else experienced any recent problems. I have asked for replacements as each 45 day waiting period has elapsed but have not had replacements yet. Has anyone any experience with replacements with DVDSOON.
Have reported the matter to the POST OFFICE as well but surprise surprise ! No reply yet!
Normally though I have no problems and deliveries have been back to normal for a while now.

No problems here. Ordered a few things recently and all have been delivered within about 5 days.

Cheers

Could your DVDs be over the customs limit and the postal servive is holding them for you?

Same thing happened to me when I ordered a lot of DVDs and they were over £18.00.

DVD Soon do give you credit to the same value of the missing DVDs if they do not turn up after 45 days.

Postal service is an absolute joke, keep sending my mail to the wrong address and I keep getting next door`s post. I know a guy who was sacked for being drunk on duty, guess who head hunted him and gave him a job? That`s right the Royal Mail.

customs do not hold them without sending you a letter. in my experience, that has never happened (i.e. held them).

as far as replacements etc go, dvdsoon are great. they even refund shipping if you got a defective item.

My item was held in customs for a week and they did not even place a slip in my door until a good few weeks of holding the item.

Problem with postal service is that when a postman does not have a pen on him at the time of delivering the item he won`t bother leaving you a slip, that`s how sloppy they have become.

Problem with DVD Soon is they require you to sit and wait 45 days until they are willing to give you credit for lost items, other companies like Play.com send you a replacement straightaway.

Thanks for the helpfull coments. As all DVDs are under the £18 limit and my letterbox takes all DVD packages I must assume that they have been "lost" somewhere in the post office system. I hope they gave someone some pleasure!!!!

I just hope DVDSOON don`t have a problem with re-sending five in such a short period, so far my replacements are showing as pending so hope things move a long quickly as 45 days is a long time to wait bewore you can report them missing.
