Page 1 of £5.00 Play.Com / Daily Star offer a con?

This offer last week gave you the opportunity of receiving a £5.00 voucher for inputting 4 codes - one from each day of the paper. This meant that by Thursday, you had all the codes to get your voucher. I input my codes at 7:30am on Thursday morning but have not yet received my voucher. Play.com are telling me that it was restricted to the first 8,000 applications. Bit fishy that I applied so early but did not receive a voucher. Has anyone else had the same problem?

If you entered your codes on Thursday you would be far tooooo late. 4 different codes were available on the Tuesday morning (Saturday, Sunday, Monday & Tuesday codes) so there would easily be time for 8000 applications by the time you got round to entering yours. It was really pointless the Star printing Wednesday and Thursday`s codes. What was bad form was that Play/The Star did not stop people entering codes after 8000 vouchers had been applied for or sent out emails telling people they had wasted their time as the vouchers had all been allocated... they just said nothing - a bit like their paper!

i did mine last tuesday... and still no email with a code! >:(

I applied on Tuesday and I didn`t get a voucher... :( However I did get an email of their newsletter which I am mysteriously subscribed to >:(

myself and my work colleague entered the codes pretty much at the same time and I got the voucher and he didnt - there cant have been more than a few seconds difference between us pressing the submit button.

No voucher for me either. :(
