Page 1 of When was the last time you recieved something from DVDSoon.com?

Everything I have ordered over the past month is `on order`, even when stated as being `in stock` before ordering. This seems to be a common problem at the minute, so I just wondered when the last time anyone recieved an item from DVDSoon.com.

Last time for me was about 2 1/2 weeks ago.

I had one DVD shipped on Monday but have 9 other pending DVDs most of which are re-orders after they got cancelled because they were over 60 days old.

I have stopped ordering for a while, as I am concerned that they are in financial trouble (and if they are not they need to explain what is going on) and am using DVDPacific which after placing an order for a fairly obscure disc on Monday, shipped it last night!

I stopped using them when they jacked in their free shipping for non whateverthef*** members, and i had a right time of it trying to score a refund to my card (credit my arse!)

I really don`t get why DVD Soon is held in high regard over DVD Import, who have been flawless in their service, to me anyway.

Well I`m going to stop using them if and when I get my current orders. I`ve always used them because they are so damn cheap, but their customer service is the worst I`ve ever encountered.

Haven`t one of there main suppliers down down the pan?? Last stuff I ordered was the Lord of Rings sets when they were cheap they came alright though nothng since then and dont plan to place any orders in the forseeable future either.

If they went bust, and I contacted my credit card company, would I get my money back being that I haven`t got payment protection on my card?

Got XXX2 this week.
It seems that XXX2 and Steamboy, both Sony (Columbia) titles are the only big new releases they have shipped in the last few weeks.

Had a chat with my CC company, was asking about something else, and there may be some protection if they go bust.
However there were a few issues
- Will only cover payments in the last 3 months
- Will only cover the original purchases (this means may be stuffed because of the cancel and cheaper reorder saga I went through on many titles). Will have to try and claim against the original payments

For protection make sure you have copies of all your outstanding invoices, access via pending orders (I have printed and also saved copies of the pdf files to my PC).

I have just spoken to customer services who, when pushed, admitted that they are not getting their normal quantities supplied at the moment due to "the time of year when studios and distributors merge"! but that deliveries would be back to normal in a couple of weeks. Normally when companies don`t get what they have ordered in sufficient quantities it means they haven`t paid their bills!!

Anyway I don` t believe a word of it!

I for one won`t be ordering anything until then can shift some of the back orders and actually show some stock on their site (nothing shows as in stock anymore).

I would advise anyone thinking of ordering from DVDSOON to wait and see what happens in the next few weeks, SOMETHING FEELS VERY WRONG HERE!

I`ve noticed that too. Plus they`ve removed the `Current Best Titles` section from their website too for some odd reason. I used that to find all the best cheapest DVD`s.

Just printed out all my invoices from them.

WTF does this mean? And if that`s the case, how come it has apparently effected no other DVD company in the world? Is it anything to do with their supplier going into liquidation?

I am waiting for a refund to my card after I requested it before they removed that option from their website.

They state it takes 21 days for a refund. So if the funds are not in my account after this date I presume that they are in deep financial trouble and will soon be going bust.

They seem to be employing delaying tactics which is no good sign. They can`t offer refunds for three weeks because they are introducing a new refund system, and then you can bet it will take another three weeks to actually get a refund. Well there is another six weeks worth of trading to gather more cash from customers!
