I know DVDSoon suck and love taking peoples money without sending any items out.

DVD Pacific were pretty good until they compromised my debit card and lost me £18.00 to which they never compensated me for.

What other US retailers are there that are good?

Since DVD Import/Soon took a nosedive into the s***, I`ve cut right down my R1 imports. Caiman USA (through Amazon Marketplace) and Deep Discount DVD have yet to let me down, though.

Neither are customs friendly, but since the ugliness with the CDS owned companies above, I think reliability is probably the fore-most requirement in US retailers for most importers.

Axelmusic.com are good, if expensive - customs-friendly though (they ship from within the EU).

I`d also recommend Caiman USA, I`ve had good service.

For R1 I always go with either Axel Music or Movietyme as both offer free shipping and are customs friendly.

Yup, go with a chargeback.

My sister ill-advisedly made a purchase from DVD Import in May. Get this:

She split her large order into 3 smaller chunks to avoid HMCE. She cancelled one of them, and requested a card refund. They claimed the money would be back to her card in 3 weeks, after charging a £1.50 cancellation fee. 3 weeks later and no refund, they took it upon themselves to re-animate her cancelled order and re-charge her card, which means she`s paying for an order she didn`t want twice. She still hasn`t recieved any of her orders.

She`s having to get onto her bank`s credit dispute dept.

I know its a pain in the arse for your sister, but that is comically incompetant.

Charging her twice plus a £1.50 fee for the priveledge is impressively bad.

Well that`s put me off a chargeback, if they are just going to retake the money and charge me £1.50 for the privledge.

Item is still in packing, been like that for about a month. No reply to any of my emails, how incompetent can these stupid a$$h0les get?
