Kind about PLAY!...Honest

There seem to be a lot of disgruntled Play247 customers out there, in-fact I`ve posted as one at times, but I thought that I would redress the balance a little. My experiences in September October Were`nt good. But they`ve been steadily improving to their old quality service recently and seem to be a company worth using again. I realise there will be those who are still unhappy. But I`m a happy customer who has decided to speak up for once.

Me too, and I`ve noticed they have started to email me when an order has shipped. They have never done that and I have ordered over 20 DVD/CD form them for the past year.

I`ve used Play for over a year now, and had NO problem with them, infact a few times they have honoured there prices, Karate kid trilogy for £14.99, Wizard of oz for £11.99 no other site will do that, "DVDboxoffice", Madmax SE 79cent then got an e-mail 2 weeks after whoops it should be $.. we WONT honur the mistake.

and as for the "can`t get trough, they don`t reply to emails" no probs there either.

A lot of the problems are due to the Post office, Play sent a DVD recorded last Saturday i`m still waiting, and calls to the PO are no use, "sorry we can`t track the parcel" so what`s the use of the bar-code and paying extra? "so we know if you`ve signed for it, give it 2 weeks if it`s not arrived you`ll have to fill in a missing parcel form"

So play 9/10 PostOffice 1/10

Glad I`m not the only one! I am waiting for my fawlty towers boxset, this was also sent last sat. To top it off, wed morning on my doormat I find some post for another house down my road. (new postie) I`ve been worried ever since. Tried the track and trace loads.... Don`t work, not even on parcels I have already recieved from last month. So today I decide to ring the post office to find out what is going on...... Sorry we shut at noon. I mean what is the point of that track and trace?! Play really should sort them out before they start getting the blame. And today when i got back from work I had two parcels from play..... only the R1 films I ordered on wednesday afternoon!! Good ol` play. Doesn`t make sense.
R1 = 3 DAYS
R2 = 9 DAYS + ( if ever)
I feel a bit better now.

p.s. I wish they would send my ps2 game that came out yesterday.

Just to add to the chorus of people who`ve been having problems with Royal Mail recently on Play shipments. Had a couple of Jackie Chan DVDs that were posted a week ago last Friday, and they just came this morning (at 7.30 in the morning. ouch!) A scandal, really. And hands up who think this is going to get *better* by privatization....

My local boy scouts do a Xmas mail delivery which surpasses Royal Mail.

As for privatisation at least it would allow you a dig with Trading Standards or something - Royal Mail are answerable to nobody!
