WHAT IS THE BEST MONITOR TO BUY --£300 TO SPEND
Hi,
Looking for a new monitor as my old one looks like s*** when gaming
Got £300 to spend and would prefer a flatscreen with a high resolution --1600 by 1200 for example,to show off my geoforce 4-Something to add real defenition to playing games.
Any ideas -- where i can get one at a good price on line ?
What do you recommend?
Cheers
Steve

Try www.silicon-group.co.uk. They do mail order and they have a Flat screen 19" Hansol 920D that can run at 1600 X 1200 @ 75 hz for £240 or a Flat screen 19" LG Studioworks 995E for £220 which also copes with 1600 X 1200 @ 75hz. I`m not sure how much the P&P would be so you can check on their page. With the £50-60 you would have left you could always get a cheap Cyber CDRW 16 X 10 X 40 just for speed if nothing else. I`ve built several PC`s over the last 5 years and have always bought from here as their prices are the best I`ve seen. Mind you it only takes me about 10 minutes to drive there so if ever I had a problem it is easy enough to get it sorted.

Or hows about an IIyama http://www.iiyama.co.uk/
e.g. 19" VM Pro 452 for £243.45 inc VAT from www.ebuyer.com (quickfind code 23942).
or the Pro 454 from the same place for £313.96 inc VAT (code 32021).
I have had an older Pro 451 for a while now and it is the bees knees.
They have a 3yr On site warranty - I used this once on an older Iiyama I had many years ago. It developed a fault after a few months and they delivered a replacement monitor to me, bright and early the next morning.

The Iiyama 454 is Pc Pro`s recommended 19" monitor. I would get one at that price. Runs upto 1920*1440. BTW what games run at 1600*1200?
Might be a good idea to post in the General Forum too as this isnt a retailer review and you may get more answers.
