"I'd call that getting off lightly"
I'd agree. 3 match stadium ban followed by a further 4 matches back in the stands and another sixty grand fine.
Thought he'd be 'resting' till next season if he was still in a job by then.

I used to be with it, but then they changed what `it` was.
Now, what I`m with isn`t it, and what`s `it` seems weird and scary

He'll still be in a job next year...he owes 2.5 million to a casino in Newcastle which is owned by one of Ashley's business partners. Newcastle United have took the debt on and it's being paid off as part of Pardew's salary. My mate in the pub told me the above so it's true.

I can't edited my post... The last post is why he has a 8 year contract...

Well I am not into football, but I say they should make it a sacking for life for any manager or player that does GBH.
That would cool them off when their livelyhood is at stake.
If anyone tried that in the construction industry which I am in (and was witnessed by others on works time) they would be sacked on the spot.
Outside works time is another matter
RE: Alan Pardew headbutted footballer
He got off lightly, he has form and he still gets a slap on the wrist albeit a financially costly one. Football is a hypocritical game. I heard no hue and cry when he did it. Suarez bit a player and he was vilified in the press and everywhere (he was treated in the same manner as a child killer) Even the Prime Minister stuck his oar in. Amongst the reason for the lengthy ban was he was expected to be a role model. Even more a manager (a leader of a team and club) who should be expected to lead by example. He should have at the very least been banned for the same 10 games ban Suarez got.
