I don't know if we 'know' this?  Besides that though, my understanding is the IOC simply go on the sex declared on a passport?  I know this specific issue is not a Trans issue - but there are too many other things at play in sport and physiology to base decisions on what is says on a passport - but under current IOC rules, a person who has transitioned from male to female (so has 'Female' on their passport) can compete in boxing (or other sports?) against competitors who were biologically born females?  I personally don't agree with that, if true.
i.e. IF the boxer is Trans OR has male XY chromosones (as I think is still possible in this case), then I don't think competing against female opponents is fair on the the rest of the competitors.  It's an incredibly difficult 'place' to be in as I respect people's wishes to do as they wish - but there have to be instances where the fairness of 'sport' and fair competition takes precedence? 😢
Apologies if some of my terminology isn't quite right here as it appears in some cases now that the presence of some XY doesn't necessarily mean male any more - the very definition of male or female is probably more blurred than ever.

They are a regular listen for me anyway.
By far the most accurate and balanced comment on the whole situation is from Steve Bunce.
Brilliant commentator specialising in Boxing but very balanced on everything he touches on and very relatable, even if if he's only audible to dogs sometimes.
Search around to find his comments when Frank Maloney (promoter) transitioned to Kellie Maloney back in 2014

I'm  the kind of person who will take it easy, just in case, if I feel a minor twinge...

And then there's...

Rose Harvey, who runs a marathon with a broken leg.
