No booze please, we're Arabs...

Last minute u-turn on alcohol sales in the stadia. It's a good thing the tournament's taking place in a desert. We're going to see the most sedate, laid-back, lobster skinned rioters ever.

"No booze please,"
It's arguable that there wasn't any available anyway as it was exclusively Budweiser (Gnat's p*ss).
The amount that will be smuggled in by extremely resourceful supporters of many countries not just England along with the reports of the Danish reporter and crew, with full accreditation, being assaulted by Qatari security does not bode well for a peaceful competition.
Glad I'm not there.

Those in corporate areas of stadiums at the tournament will still be able to purchase alcohol.if you have a few mates to club together for the £19k for a corporate box, you can get some booze.
Budweiser tweeting "this is awkward", made me laugh, but then deleted the tweet :(

Aren't the technical teams provided by broadcasters who are just going to do their own thing? I hope so anyway.

They'll probably have 'officials' leaning over their shoulder, making sure that everything being broadcast meets their 'high moral standards', nudging the cameras if they focus on the wrong thing for too long, and eventually cancel live broadcasts until the footage has been 'cleansed'.

Infantito launches into a bout of obvious whataboutism, comparing the behaviour of European counties 3000 years ago to the current actions what's supposed to be a modern & flourishing country at the forefront of everything.
