Torchwood

Bloody hell that was good, great premise, Bill Pullman was down right....well Hannibal Lector like and will be interesting to see what he has to do with it all and I cant help feeling if this is what the yanks do with Torchwood I can only imagine what they would do with the good Doctor himself....

they allready tried, & fked it up ....

Not sure about the new torchwood,  but i hope it turns out good, tho tbh, i thought ep 1 was a bit slow,  not action wise, as there was plenty going on, but we didn`t learn a great deal about the situation,  apart from the obvious (trying not to give spoilers lol)

I think its introducing the yanks to the premise and characters is why it had so much back story in it, Im sure it will be a success, as for them trying doctor who they did a one off movie and a tv show with the budget and writers they have would be a blockbuster....of course they also have the capacity to completely f*** it up lol...depends who did it, if it was showtime, hbo I would have no fears.

Shown over here the whole of Ep1 was really about transporting the cast to the US of A, as Starz put up the lions share of the funding, they got first broadcast rights, Canada the day after, only Auntie with her scheduling put this a week behind.

So far so hum, nice bits were SPOILER:
the crew over the top of the old Torchwood Hub & the somewhat  predictable "autopsy" result.

Will not watch the new series at all.

I love si-fi but when guys start kissing guys, I throw up, and I read it will even get steamier.

Yeh, I stick to Si-fi where men are real men, and women are real women, and green squigly alfa-centuri worms are real green squigly alfa-centuri worms.

Thank God!! I am of the same opinion! I love Torchwood and I have always been a fan of John Barrowman....but THIS?? I`m starting to think that he has insisted on having these gay encounters and a number of gay events / comments in every episode. Episode 2 was sickening. I am a male nurse by trade, so gay men is nothing new for me and I get along with 100% of my gay colleagues, but they don`t "test the waters" around me, and certainly don`t grope each other!!! Between Eastenders and Corrie`s gay story lines I think we have had enough already. I think the Yanks will do wonders for the show - but at what cost? Making all hetero men sick???
