The Clangers... boldly going?
Yes, the Clangers starring William Shatner is evidently a thing. He'll be the narrator in the new series.
Only not for us. The UK gets Michael Palin. Boo. If there are DVDs, I hope they have dual audio tracks.

IMDB really do need to pay for some more storage just for his bio.
343 credits as 'Self ' alone and I remember a toe curling venture which somehow missed a Grammy.

Who is playing the 'Soup Dragon' noises

If not dual audio, when it comes out on DVD, you can always buy 'USA region' DVD, and play it on a region free player.

From that press release:
"The Clangers are a unique family of imaginary, pink, long-nosed creatures who live on a small blue planet in space."
Imaginary? Surely some mistake?
I brought up my children believing in the goodness of the Clangers, Jimmy Savile and Rolf Harris.
At least one out three ain't bad, and even if Clangers are pink, long-nosed creatures who live on a small blue planet in space, they were and still are real to children
Now the Soup Dragon, that's another story, as it is something to do with the soup having hallucinatory effects. There was a lot of that going on in the sixties.
my missus bought a little Clanger in a charity shop the other day, but as she left, she dropped it in a puddle, which upset one of our girls. Missus got home, cleaned it, it looks as good as new, but she's still s*** scared of it, and doesn't like it!
She dropped a right clanger there then.

Bandicoot... indeed... that soup was heady stuff; although for myself I must say that the Magic Roundabout (no; not the Hanger Lane Gyratory System or Elephant & Castle) held a warm attraction too... perhaps it was Dylan's magic mushrooms...? well actually it had me when Florence suggested it was time for bed; but perhaps she meant something different to what I had in mind... mmm, yeah on reflection it was probably the mushrooms...

I recall the Master studying Clangerese on Dr Who back in the early colour days.
