A truly disgusting movie (pun intended).
Bill Murray plays an obnoxious and disgusting guy who doesn`t care about his health. The animated part of the movie takes place inside Murray`s body, where we meet Osmosis Jones (a white blood cell) who tries to defend Murray`s body against a vicious (and deadly) infection.
The video transfer is ok. There are no compression signs and the colors are nicely saturated. While the animation looks fine, it is not as impressive as it could`ve been.
The DD 5.1 soundtrack is good. The surrounds are constantly used and produce a nice sound envelope.
The menus are still with sound.
The extras include a commentary by the crew, a behind the scenes look and 3 deleted scenes.
Bottom line - while the disk is not THAT bad, the movie itself is.

I was bitterly disappointed by this movie… OK, It's not all that bad, but it's no Toy Story, in fact the short "For the Birds" on the Monster inc disc was funnier than this, and that was only a couple of minutes.

Still, the disc itself is pretty good. There is a nice spread of extras, although the deleted scenes and the 3 featurettes are only really worth a look once, and they are not terribly inspiring! I started listening to the commentary and it does sound like an above average commentary, but I haven't had a chance to finish it yet. We also get a trailer and a "hidden feature" that's a certain clip from the film - again, amusing once, but not exactly revolutionary stuff.

While this disc does appear to be on offer everywhere at the moment, I wouldn't advise buying unless you really like the film. If you haven't see it yet, this is one to rent first.

Not a bad movie but not a great one either. Its a live animation movie about a virus trying to kill a guy and all things that the body does to prevent the virus. Its actually quite insightful although im not too sure how accurate it is. Anyway it sort of lets us live the fantasy of being inside a body and for that its actually pretty good. The animation is quite good for a warner bros release. The sound also is top notch. Extras are plentiful although most of them arent that interesting. Overall its an average affair. Rent it first.
