myspace problem on vista

hi

ive recently bought a laptop complete with vista premium and ive noticed a bit of problem whenever ive used myspace. For some reason I cant view comments on some but not all peoples profiles. This only occurs while using internet explorer. Firefox works fine and so does internet explorer on my old xp pc! Ive googled this problem and come across it but cant find any solutions to it. Any help with this would be very much appreciated

Thanks for the advice SoulessEye. I didnt think of taking a laptop with me. Thats a really good idea so I will probably do that. The interview is next wednesday and is for a permanent position. need advice for website developer job interview

Ive got a job interview for a website developer next week and I need some advice. Im keen to show them my dissertation as it was a web based teaching tool developed using PHP and MySQL but im not really sure how I should go about doing this. Do I assume there will be a computer in the interview room where I can show my online system working? Or shall I bring evidence of my coding to the interview via disc or printout? Im really not sure.

This is my first interview since graduating so Im new to it all!

Im also pretty sure theyre going to ask me what I expect to earn. Again Im not sure how I should answer this. Do I be cheeky and ask for loads? Or risk being paid less by expecting less?

Any advice would be greatly aprreciated

Im doing a website as part of a project at university and im thinking of using php to do it. Ive never used it before but ive done some research and it seems i need an apache server and mysql as well. I dont really know how to go about setting these up and wondered if anyone can give me some help or recomend a good site to help me? Ive used html and java script before but i dont know how helpful that is going to be.

Champions league qualification question

Does anyone know whether there will be another champions league space for an english team if either arsenal or chelsea win this years competion?

I think 5 spaces would be a bit a extreme considering its suppose to be for the best clubs in europe but i was just a bit curious.

Im a villa fan with one eye on the champions league you see.

Sygate personal firewall help

Recently installed this and im a little confused as to what applications i should block or allow. Applications i recognise such as messenger and internet explorer i allow but there are a few which i dont know what to do with so have just blocked for the time being.

Below are a few examples:

Generic host process for win32 services
LSA shell (export version)
Application layer gateway service
NDIS user mode I/O driver
NT kernal and system
LEXPSS.EXE

Has anybody got any ideas about what they do and what i should do with them?

My computer went in for repair recently (full of viruses - norton now installed) and when it came back it worked perfectly. Then a few days later this problem started occuring. Ive tried restoring it to the day it was returned but the problem is still there.

Ive ran scan-disk and de-frag both today and there have been no changes.

Ive never had that game so it cant be that and I havnt installed any games recently either.

tried what you suggested and the programs seem to be responding a bit quicker but there still is a delay of a few minutes.

Its a fairly new pc: 2.6 ghz, 512 ram

I have ad-aware which i believe is anti-spyware

PC problem

When I start my computer and go into my user area it seems to take 10-15 mins for any of the programs to start working properly. If I try to close them I just get the `this program is not responding` message. They remain open even after selecting to `end now` but are still not responding. Eventually they all start responding and everything is fine. I havnt got a clue why this happens. I use windows xp and the same problem occurs for all the other users.

Can anybody help?

band merchandise sites?

Im after any reliable sites that sell merchandise for bands. Im specifically after tshirts from bands you dont really hear much about, punk and emo bands for example. A uk based site would be good too.

surround speakers - best brackets?

Just bought my first home cinema system and ive now got 4 speakers that need fitting to each corner of my room. Can anyone recommend some brackets for them and where to get them from? Ive got the sony DAVSA30 which only has small cube like speakers. Im not sure whether stands are a good idea because the door of the room will probably end whacking it each time it is opened!

Which home cinema system?

My dvd player packed up today and ive decided that im going to replace it with a home cinema system. Im after any suggestions as to which one to buy. My budget is £300 and basically i want as much as i can get for that money. At the moment im looking at the Sony DAVSA30. Seems pretty good so any feedback on this would be good too.

Good Charlotte are not manufactured!
I`m not their biggest fan but because I follow the alternative scene in America I`ve known about them for years. They all went to school together and have been in bands for ages. I`m pretty sure that the lead singer of the highly respected punk rock band Goldfinger heard them and decided to produce their first album for them, thats how they first got known.

They are not manufactured I gurantee it!

Where to buy a new computer

Ive got about £700 to spend, maybe a bit more and i need a new computer. I recently bought one from time and they were terrible. Didnt send me a mouse but did send me a knackered monitor and modem! Then charged me £40 on technical support lines which never helped! So I got my money back.

So if anyone could recomend a computer and where to get it from I would be very happy.

Just bought a new sony ericsson t610 on O2 and im very pleased with it. One problem though is that my friends have been sending me picture msgs and for some reason i am unable to open them! The phone keeps telling me that configuration of MMS is required. It then asks me to enter a message server address. I dont know what address to put here and i dont want to start messing up the phone!

freezing and zooming

we all know how most people use these features but what are the best dvds you can think of where you`ve had a good pause and zoom. I`d have to go for American Pie and Shannon Elizabeths famous web cam scene. Superb!

I am really considering buying this but i just wondered if anyone can tell me what the quality of the sound is like when playing audio cds.
Is it noticeably worse than a dedicated hi-fi?
