Viewpia 22" lcd/dvd combi

Hi guys
I have been looking for the hack for these as i bought 2 from svp for the kids at xmas.

I think a few peeps are struggling with the hack already about so i`ll put the info in laymans terms.....(Cos i was struggling with it lol)
Put the unit in stand-by....(Yellow light)
Then press 0852 on the remote followed by the power button on the remote..The unit wil turn on and The region screen then will appear....Use the +/- button (vol) to change the region to 0..then press OK to save.

Works on the 26" model too ...that`s where i got the code from anyways lol

Liteon HD-A740GX

Just purchased one of theses from Argos and could not find the region hack listed on the site so had a look round and found one:-

1. Enter set up on remote
2. Scroll down and highlight `exit`
3. While exit is highlighted enter 2,9,6,0
4. Press enter
5. A hidden menu pops up and you can select any region or "Region Free" option.
6. For exit press "Setup" button again.


Tried this on mine and works a treat....

Crown 1500

Hi just got one of these....less than £30 ...a bargain
Used the hack on the site and works great but it said on the hack to select 9 if you want it multi-region ...but the readout will only go up to 6.
Do any of you peeps know which one to select for multi ??? already tried 0 but it didn`t work.

Tevion Home Entertainment System

Hi Peeps
I was thinking of buying what i concidered a real bargain from Aldi for a Tevion Home Entertainment System for only £59.99.
Dvd player and surround sound system. Model no TCHT 2000
is it possible to make this unit multi-region as i have a vast collection of discs from different regions. (Bit of a cdwow/playusa addict lol).
I have read in some posts that there is some outstanding problems where you can use the hack to get to the region screen but cannot change the region??
Something to do with a glitch in the chip firmware ??.
Any help is much apprieciated.

GOODMANS GDVD 14DVDX1 COMBI

HI PEEPS
Wondered if any of you peeps could help me... I have a Goodmans Gdvd 14DVDX1 tv/dvd combi that i bought a few months ago and have got the instructions for the multi-region hack of the relevent section...but when i attempted to follow the instructions it says that once you`ve selected `dvd` function on the tv that you have to press `dvd set-up on the remote control`....here lies the problem because there is no set-up button on the remote...
So have they (the manufacturers) remove this button on the later models so as to prevent the region hack???
Any help would be much appreciated

DANSAI 955

Have just purchased a Dansai 955 for £89:95 from my local Tescos and have attempted to remote hack it for multi-region with the instructions on the forum.
But it does not seem to work???....I`m wondering if the newer purchases have had a firmware upgrade to stop the hack?
Any info would be much obliged

I will keep persisting with the hack until i either get peed off totally or someone comes up with any more info.

Presume you on about the LG3000e ????
If so there isn`t a macro hack for it but you would be able to get around that buy purchasing a `macmaster` lead for about £25 it`s ascart with a chip attachment...have one myself and apart from the adapter plug (means you have to have a extra plug available) it`s works fine.

Dansai 955 ???

Hi peeps
Just seem a Dansai 955 for sale a the local Tesco`s for £99 with 3 dvd`s and was thinking about getting one for the daughter for crimbo and wanted to know is there is a multi-region hack for it .
Would be much obliged for any info.....

Dansai Tv/Dvd combi

Does anyone know if the Dansai tv/dvd combi has a multi-region hack for it as most of my dvds are region 1.
I am thinking of getting a unit for upstairs and the price seems reasonable.I`m not quite sure of he model no but it`s someting then 14.
I can`t seem to find any info about it on the net either so would be grateful for any info before making a purchase.

LG 3200e Multi - region hack probs

Hi all
Wondered if anyone could help me, I have a Lg 3200e and no matter how i try i can not get the multi-region hack to work on it.
I presume that mine has the older firmware (Think it`s ver 1.0 ) and thus as stated it will not work.
What i was wondering was , is there anyone who knows where i can get the firware upgrade for it,and a little tutorial on how to go about installing it?

Dansai 952

Hi Peeps
Wondering if anyone could help me and tell me if the Dansai 952 dvd player is multi-region and macrovision hackable like it`s older brother the 852.
I already own the 852 and am very impressed with it but my friend is wanting a good bargain player and our local Tescos extra has them in a £99.
Have looked round the site and cannot find any reference to this player and whether it is remote hackable.
So if anyone could help with any info i would be much obliged.

I purchased a A-Trend Helios from a computer fair about a month or so ago and am able to enter the firmware settings very easily.
You can change the region coding and turn the macrovsion off also.
So there is no need to worry about RCE dvds or a need for any macro disabling leads etc.
It will play almost any type barring karaoke cds ,although i haven`t tried that myself.
I paid £140 for it and feel it was great value for money.
The fair i visited was at doncaster,although there are various fairs around the country ,they are run by northern computer markets,to find the nearest to you visit there website at www.computermarkets.co.uk

A-TREND HELIOS HACK (alternative found)

HI Peeps
Have found a alternative way to change the region code and turn off the macrovision.
1. With the power on and the tray empty,Press 7, 6, then select on your remote.
2. This takes you into the factory settings list,using the arrow keys scroll down to the region code,Press enter twice,then enter the code you want.
3.Then scroll down to the bottom where it says `next page`,Press enter twice ,scroll down to the macrovision setting(on shows as No 1)press enter twice til 0 is shown and the macrovision is disabled.
4.Press set up to exit factory settings , enter disc and away you go.

NB:- The macrovision will reset it`s self after the power to the unit has been turned off,but the region code remains the same until you change it again.

I have just purchased a A-Trend Helios (manufactured sept 2001) and when i attempted to apply the multi-region hack , i had no joy.
Has the player been updated to prevent the hack working? If so any info would be much apprieciated so i can return it(as it was sold to me as a hackable multi-region)

JVC REGION HACK

I know that it has been said that there are no remote hacks for any of the top branded dvd players,but then someone has said that is only for the players built in the last 2 years>> I have a jvc xv-m557 and wondered if any of you peeps could help me with a region hack for it or any other info you feel is relevent....many thanks..from a newbie
