it didn`t work.....
well, i don`t know actually `cos i don`t have any reg1 disks yet.
but i didn`t get any ------ on my dvdplayers screen....

i used the SBC RU 660 method....

but thnx anyway....

I`ve still got one problem thou,
my firmware states:
(c) Philips `01-`02 55194323.14-2 0606P22200300 6.2.10
so is my firmware 5.5 or 6.2?
if it`s 5.5 it is likely not to work according to the site you mentioned.

and please let me know when you used the hack...
if it worked or not...

i there!

i just bought a philips matchline 743 dvd player
and i need a multy-region hack for it....

i searched all forums but coudn`t find any

does anyone know if it is even possible to hack it with the remote?

Key Lock

hi there!

first of all i want to thank sergeikot for posting the way to unlock a Thomson 210U
it also works perfectly on a THOMSON DTH 220 (E)
(player on, press menu button, then 1,6,7. It will ask for region code, press 0 (zero) for reggion free)
so THNX!!

but it leaves me with one question.
on almost every dvd there`s this copyright warning at the beginning of the disk and sometimes on the beginning of the film. This is most irritating, but you can`t skip it!:( i know you can`t skip because of a key lock witch is active than. I also know that it is possible to turn this function off.
I just don`t know how!

Does anybody out there know how to do this?
like i said before, I have a THOMSON DTH 220 (E)

(btw: I read in some forum `bout macrovision, is this what i`m looking for?)

HELP PLEASE!!!: missing part of my screen

Hi there!

euhm, I`ve got a question...
I`ve bought a THOMSON DTH 200 E just a few weeks ago...

I noticed that the image is not centered on the screen...
(i haven`t checked on witch formats, but for example 16:9)
I`m missing part of the screen.
my tv (a 4:3 sony) doesn`t show the left-most part of the film
and i`ve got no clue what causes this
and worse:
i`ve got no idea how to solve this...

does anybody has the same problem?
or better yet, has a solution?

i made the setting to my player
to show 4:3 letterbox, witch shoud show the movie in it`s origional
aspect ratio.

HELP PLEASE!!
