RE: Toshiba SD-125E. Multi-region codes please !!!!!.
You might try this site...
http://www.dvdrhelp.com/dvdhacks.php?dvdplayer=SD-125E&Search=Search
and read msg at this one http://www.reviewcentre.com/reviews4565.html
Although this site`s (and some other sites`) forum page advises "...most JVCs, Toshibas cannot be hacked via the remote. A chipping company (and therefore payment of a fee) is necessary." ....you might be lucky. :-)
If it does work, perhaps you could reply on here and let others know ?

RE: Dansai 955-Anything Known?
clayts, presuably that hack is to make it multi-region ?
Doyou know if there`s a hack to disable macrovision as well and can the 955 play VCD/SVCD discs or is there a hack to enable it to ?
There`s info in the forum to do the biz on the 1010 but I don`t know which is the `newer` model, the 955 or the 1010.
Can you help please cos I was going to get a 1010 but all of a sudden there`s loads of 955s in Tescos !
Cheers.
:)
Any info on Philips DVD640
I`ve looked at several players and have seen the DVD640 in Comet for £130. It seems to be okay feature-wise but can anyone tell me if it is possible to make it multi-region. (Another one I liked was the Samsung DVDS225 at £120 - any info on that ?)
And what does PAL/NTSC playback refer to and/or mean ?
I asked in-store but got the "oooohhh, I`m not sure" reply.
Sorry to ask so much so soon but I`m new to DVD so any info/help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Nige.
ps or can anyone suggest a better option, up to £150 ?
