I work in I.T as the head of a software development team, we go through several hundred DVD media every month and have found Ritek media (with the exception of Arita discs)to be the most effective and reliable discs for all kinds of storage.

The Bulkpak discs or Bulkcrap as they are commonly known to almost everyone except you will start to degrade within three years due to poor workmanship and dye quality...this is not online bumff this is a result of my company "doing their homework"

To sum up
Ritek grade A discs include Ridata,Ridisc,Ritek...... :D
Grade B include Arita,Landscape and other overprints >:(

You should look for Ritek discs m8 or Ridisc or Ridata as these are considered to be the the best DVD-R around today they have GO3 or GO4 dye which again is the most compatable with standalone dvd players you can get 25 for £5.99 from

An 8x writer is all well and good but what about 8x media...because a writer is able to write at 8x doesnt mean it will write at that speed on 4x media

30quid a month I am with pipex and pay 23.20 a month for their xtreme solo 512kbps service and i got an alcatel speedtouch modem for free...and anyone thinking of signing up should be aware that a router is NOT always the best option i download at an average of 70kbps a second while my m8 with a router in the next street only gets 50kbps on average...different strokes for different folks
Pipex are great I havnt paid a months subscription yet as for every person you refer that signs up u get a free month!!!!

What are you guys on?play used to be good 3-4 years ago but have become somewhat complacent over the years...The last order I had with them was for LOTR boxset ordered April 2002 eight months before release and delivered 1 month after release after being "packed" for almost three weeks COME ON...Play.com should be put out to pasture...Long Live CD-WOW
