RE: Graphics card advice needed
Ah, I run XP so that may not work then with Ti500. So you think fx5200 128MB would work with Hardware T+L ok?
RE: Graphics card advice needed
It`s actually a game for my brother, Star Wars Galaxies, online multiplayer stuff (his ,ates have it and love it). the Ti500 seems to have had pretty good reviews, I know its a bit older than others but seems to be standing up well.
RE: Graphics card advice needed
£40... you think this would solve my problems?

What is the Geforce 3 TI 500 64 MB like?
RE: Graphics card advice needed
Am confused now. It says on the description on some of the cheaper cards like the MX440 that it supprts 2nd generation T+L... isn`t this what I am looking for? The support for the game says it supports the GeForce 2/3/4 series... will any card in this series not fit? I have a v limited budget and am not interested in the flashiest or best performing card, just one to get me going! (sorry if this is blasphemy to anyone!)
Graphics card advice needed
Newbie here, help needed! I bought new game which upon trying to run, says I need a graphics card which runs Hardware Transform and Lighting. I bought new PC from Mesh 5 months ago, but it must have old card in it.
Basically I would like some advice about what the best card to get it. By "best" i mean best value for money, it is just after Christmas and pennies are sparse! I have seen the 64MB PCI NVidia GeForce2 MX400 128-bit SDRAM for £34.99... is this good value? is there anything I should be looking out for, or be wary of?
Any help would be fantastic!
James
RE: High back Leather chairs ? 29.99 + V.A.T

ADSL connection share
Hi all, I am getting a 2nd PC and looking to share my ADSL connection with it. Does anyone know of any step-by-step guides of how to network the PC`s, plus share the connection? I know it can be done because I posted here before, but remain quite clueless about the procedures.
Many thanks!
James
Mesh PC
Just seen this PC on Mesh site, http://www.meshplc.co.uk/updated/news_mat2400player.htm
it looks fab and has great specs! Any more techy guys agree because I think I am going to make the plunge and go for it. One question, the option is there to upgrade to an 8MB buffer instead of a 2MB one on the 120GB hard drive... is this worthwhile or does it not make a noticable difference?
It comes with 512 MB PC2100 DDR memory 226MHz, with option of upgrading to 1024 (2x512) for £50... worthwhile?
As always, many thanks.
RE: Broadband/Dial Up on same line?
Thanks for the reply, how can this be done? I am with Pipex, do ISP`s charge an extra fee for this?
Broadband/Dial Up on same line?
Hi all, I have 2 PC`s in 2 different rooms, is it possible to have broadband on one and dial up on another at same time?
RE: New PC reccomendations please!
Chris, that build of PC you were describing sounds exactly the kind of system I need. What kind of price are we talking for that? And how can I contact you to talk about your business?
RE: New PC reccomendations please!
Hey Chris thanks for the swift reply buddy. As for specs... ummm... lol... fast-ish processor, large (120-ish GB) HD, high speed RAM etc.. I am not 100% techy about PC`s. Basically as fast as possible for £700-£800. Preferably to include DVD RW if possible. Sorry for being so dense.
New PC reccomendations please!
Hi all, I currently have a Compaq Presario thats about 3 years old now, only 8GB hard-disk, slow processor etc etc... so I am looking to upgrade to a brand new shiny system. I have seen an ad in papers today and on Time`s website for their S3809 Powerstation 256...
Processor : AMD Athlon XP2600+ processor
Memory : 1024mb DDR
Hard Disk : 160Gb hard disk

DVD : 16x DVD-ROM Drive
Firewire : 2xFirewire
TV-Out : S-Video
Sound : 6 channel built in
Ethernet : 10/100 for networking and ADSL
Operating System : Windows XP Home Edition Verify
USB : 5x USB
Ports : Standard Serial and Parallel
Modem : 56k V92
Case : Full ATX case with 7 drive bays
Keyboard : Multi-media keyboard

Thing is, I know people always tell me you can get custom-built PC`s for much cheaper thatn high-street stores... I am looking for about 120 GB hard-disk, high-speed processor, DVD RW, as the Time PC above includes all these.
Does anyone know of any websites or companies that can custom build me a PC? I am quite technical but could not build my own, so they would need to assemble it for me. Any help or advice at all would be fantastic, so thank you in advance to anyone who replies.
Thanks all,
James
