RE: Brother (DTS) International Version - £3.99 at CD-Wow

Watch out folks, it`s the fullscreen version that is being sold and they don`t seem to have widescreen available from CD Wow.

RE: Scarface Deluxe 3 disc set ~ £12 inc. P+P!

Yep, got mine this morning too... looks like Amazon shipped a whole planeload over to blighty at the weekend... muchos happy!

RE: Donnie Darko (Film only) £4.99 at amazon.co.uk

That`s why you would want to get your mits on the "full" release. I fail to understand where the value is in releasing a bare bones for a fiver or so cheaper. This is particularly true with this film, where the commentaries and other bits and pieces are great and go someway to making it all much clearer.

RE: Anybody been stung yet by customs on DVDSoon packages?

Yep, but only `cos the muppets crammed 4 dvds into a single box. So the lesson is, order less than the customs limit at a time or simply make sure they aren`t all available on ordering. They seem happy enough to send them out in single mailings normally.

I have noticed a lot more of my Dvdsoon packages getting customs stamps at the Mount Pleasant London sorting office recently, so they might be getting targetted to make sure they are still making proper declarations..

RE: Cheap Dell, complete PC package!!!

Ahh c`mon you`re getting a complete system for not a lot.
You want to play the latest games at the highest resolutions? Don`t bother.
You want a PC that will handle all your word processing, internet and other everyday stuff? Go ahead, I can`t see it getting much cheaper than that.

As for the Celeron, sure it isn`t the fastest chip but it`s gonna do a whole lot better than a P3-550.

RE: DVD Soon now putting exact details on package

They got me, about a quid over and they charged me the best part of a fiver in "admin fees" on top of the duty. Very annoying.

RE: Careful about the import duty limit

Not any more, customs got to them and now they label everything with the actual price.

RE: DVD Soon now putting exact details on package

No you can`t I`m afraid. The free shipping offer is now restricted to orders of 5 items or more. You take the risk that they will bundle them all together and customs charge you. There is a decent chance that they will send them out individually, as and when they are available, they did this in the past, but I don`t know whether they are doing it now.

RE: Tracking orders on DVDSoon

I tried to check this on the Canadian postal services website. The tracking number does seem to be in the right format but the ones I checked weren`t recognized. Maybe they are only used internally in the event of a DVD going missing.

RE: Once Upon a Time in The West £7.30 at DVD Soon

I`ve ordered plenty off them and although a couple of items have taken some time to get here they`ve always been ok to deal with. I would certainly trust them more than Splash who can take a ridiculous amount of time to ship.
I got my Finding Nemo and Looney Tunes Golden Collection within 5 days of shipping and their Superbit and Paramount sales currently includes a load of decent titles for not very much.

Adaptation, Shrek, Beautiful Mind all reasonably priced plus a load more.

RE: Once Upon a Time in The West £7.30 at DVD Soon

Just "cancel" your order online, you get an immediate credit back and then reorder. I did and saved a few dollars on it and LOTR TTT, which has also dropped in price. Saved 5 Dollars for my next purchase with them. They are just about the best out there for R1 at the moment.

RE: Once Upon a Time in The West £7.30 at DVD Soon

For those who pre-ordered this classic (and those who haven`t) DVDSoon have actually lowered the price again!! to £6.40 :o :) :D
Yep that`s for the 2 disc collector`s edition. Out in about 3 weeks and including the original mono for those who don`t like their original sound messed with.

RE: Benson has got a 2 DVDs for £16

Thanks a lot, there is some really nice foreign, art house and independent stuff that I`ve not seen discounted before.
