RE: Any HGV drivers out there?
Thanks again gents, all great replies. I now understand the ADR much better.I will get myself the digital tacho cos it seems like its gonna be needed in the very near future and not having it may limit my chances. I will certainly look into this NVQ2 at the jobcentre too.
Can anyone suggest a good agency i could sign up for cos when i look online, there are thousands? !!
Any HGV drivers out there?
I have a a class 2 license and tho i havent worked in the industry for 9 years for personal reasons that at the time meant i couldnt work but im thinking of going back into it and have a few questions.
1. Are there any companies who have work for class 2 drivers? Seems like all the supermarkets etc are class 1 only?
2. Is it worth training to get my class 1 cos it seems that thats the only way im gonna get decent paid work and i cant see vacancies for class 2 and is the training expensive?
3. I see that there are ADR drivers, digital tacho drivers, Hazchem drivers required ! Well i dont know what any of this means ! Is it expensive/difficult?
4. What kind of companies will take on a class 2 driver who hasnt been in the industry for 9 years?
5. Whats my best way to start? Sign for agencies/writing direct to employers?
Pleeeeeeeease help me guys......cos im lost! :¦

RE: Mr Magoo....the cartoon...Is there a complete collection out there ?
I guess thats a "no" then :(
RE: Ebay unpaid item advise
Yeah if they cant be bothered (especially when its only £3) Explain to them (before you give em negative feedback) that you will put on their account "Non paying winning bidder" and if that dont bother em, then you know they are a waste of space.......guy must be an imbecile if hes prepared to have his account "negged" for the sake `o 3 quid.
RE: A free guide to win money.
honestly mate, leave it alone, 888.com are in business and love all these so called systems. If there was even ONE system that worked, then roulette and card players would have found it 300 years ago, not now. Apart from card counting (which is now impossible cos most use 2 or 3 decks) there is no easy way, keep yr money in yr pocket and only bet on "known" events.........thats how you win, no other way.....not in the long run.
Yes, i work in a call centre for a bookies and we have our own casino.
Any plumbers out there, can you get your head round this one ?
The overflow pipe outside my house keeps dripping. Sometimes quite speedily.....yet i have adjusted the pressure via the cold water stopcock and that seemed to stop it ! All was good until my hot water turns itself on in the morning and then the same thing happens again!! The water comin outta the pipe is cold yet this only happens when the hot water is on ??!!! Soon as the hot water is off.........it stops again...........but while its on (and its only for 2 hours) it can fill 2 buckets in this time !!!
Can i stop this?
Is it my boiler ?
Why (if it is the boiler) is the overflow pipe dripping with cold water?
Anyone out there have any idea? Please help before the moss turns the bricks completely green !!!
RE: I have Norton Anti-virus 2006 but it doesnt appear to have a firewall?

RE: I have Norton Anti-virus 2006 but it doesnt appear to have a firewall?

I have Norton Anti-virus 2006 but it doesnt appear to have a firewall?
Is this right? I cant see a firewall yet its the 2006 version, do i have to buy a seperate one ? Surely its `all in` isnt it? Or have i bought an inferior product ? HELP!!! :B

RE: Wireless card accesses
Thanks Ste, youve been very helpful, the netgear one WILL be the one for me(is it the Netgear WGT624 ? or the Netgear WGR614 ?) as i am a novice and dont need anything special, just as long as i can use it in the front room, it will be fine and the firewall is an added bonus. Thanks again mate!

RE: Wireless card accesses
Thanks again Ste, i do have NTL with an ethernet cable so i gather the 3COM OFFICECONNECT is the one for me ?
RE: Wireless card accesses
thanks guys, and Ste, can you just tell me, does this actually work ? On another matter, i am going to buy one of these routers cos my machine has an inbuilt card in it. Do i need a specific one and are some better than others?
RE: Wireless card accesses
awwwwwwww go on ?
Wireless card accesses "other network"?
When i got my new laptop the other day, it said "The wireless card has detected "two"
networks, yet they arent mine as i have no router installed!.
Now i have broadband installed at home but does this mean that should i wanna use my laptop "wirelessly", i could use one the networks its found, or do i need to get my own "wireless router"? (I think it may be my next door neighbour who has this router installed etc!)
Secondly, if i did do this, can this do me any harm, i.e am i more susceptable to getting viruses via this "wireless technology"? or is it just the same as using it via a connection to the laptop?
Thirdly, i know i gain nothin by accessing this as i pay my broadband anyway, but does mean i DONT have to buy a wireless router myself should i wanna use my machine wirelessly? (Cheeky, i know, but im desperate to give it a go, just to see that it works !!!)
Thanks in advance guys!
