Samantha J :)

If you truly have £100,000 to invest I can only suggest you do one thing immediately.
Take up your full ISA allowance for this tax year, £7,000 and then at the start of the next financial year invest another £7,000 in the same ISA .
If you are married or have a partner then you could double this investment which would take care of £28,000 immediately.
The remaining £72,000 is a different kettle of fish and TBH I have no idea what you could invest it in other than purchasing say a flat/paying up a mortgage . This would probably take up all of the money but you would be reasonably safe in the knowledge that the money will be as safe as houses so to speak.

There`s a couple of nigerians down my local that might be able to help you out.....

One of my children, the small frail sickly one really wanted an xbox360 (all singing and dancing version) for xmas but what with paying for all of the vets bills recently for her goldfish she had to make do with an orange and a set of jacks (were saving for the rubber ball at present)...

I hate begging but I don`t suppose you could help out with the rubber ball could you?
