Does Win tv do the job ?

I`ve been looking at the `Tv on your pc` packages at
http://www.hauppauge.com/
I am after purchasing one and wondered do they really work ok or are they a bit of a gimmick ?
What min spec pc do you need really ?
Whats the best one to go for the internal pci board or the usb ?
Do you need usb 2 ?

The reason is that my current philips burner seems to not want to burn and has occured this slip effect and out of sync on playback?

My machine has been totally upgraded along with the operating system Win xp.
I just recently re installed it instead of reformatting my hard drive as usual.

Ive had Win xp for a while and had things running fine, but I remember changing some settings in Device manager somewhere????
One of em was something to do with my ide or ida thing.
There is a standard bunch of settings that is worth checking and I cant remember them and it doesnt seem that anyone knows what i mean!?
Ive got Vlc and ive reinstalled that and now using that and it is still out of sync loads with the words.

Im currently using Win Xp and Sonic Dvd Player.
Its not terrible, I just cant remember the settings you can change within your system to improve playback.
So...

Anyone know what i mean?

Mmm if im on the right track
I upgraded from 98 to xp and my 3dfx Voodoo driver was win 98 (but then isnt this my graphics card?
Anyway to your reply it was a standard disc and didnt ask to upgrade drivers?
What would a video card driver be etc?

I have a video capture card with Pinnacle disc that I have yet to install as I dont really use it?

...just to add ive cleaned dvd/cd unit and all im really trying to do now is get the dvd playing without the juddering

Problem with Pc Dvd, Please help?

Hello all.
Come someone help me with a problem im having???
Just recently for no apparent reason my dvd`s wont play or burn on my pc?
Im using Windows Xp pro and its been ok for ages.
When I try to play a dvd it`s all stutterery and juddery?
When I try to burn using Clone 2 it says `Failed to read dvd drive, data error (cyclic redundancy check)`. ???

I havent a clue, Ive tried different dvd`s etc and ive gone through all `windows help` since and it just seems worse.
Please Help

How does 1 get a dvd film and extras of say 7gb onto a standard Dvdrw (4.7 gb)
Or are there bigger Dvdrw`s?

Macrovision Hack needed for Alba RDvd1002?????

This model is a Nov 2005 model and appears to be Region Free.
However it wont copy New Dvd`s.
So does anyone know of a Macro hack?

Im new here
..and have not got a clue how to copy dvd`s that come up with the inevitable `MACROVISION COPYRIGHT PROTECTED`
I have copied some old dvd`s,but these new ones dont wana have it.
Ive Scrolled the internet and all ive found is overpriced gadgets or scartleads that promise to cure this problem.
Can someone enlighten me on this matter please..........?
