Alba rdvd1006 - Remove Protection when copying

I want to make back-up copies of my disney DVDs and Videos just in case the originals get damaged.
However, the ALBA RDVD1006 keeps pausing the recording due to the original having some form of copy protection.
Is there any hack to remove this protection to allow me to copy my purchased DVDs/Videos.

I had a similar probem to GoldenMeadows after 2 days however I have never had it since.
When I switched it off and switched it back on again - all the settings were saved so I didn`t lose anything.
It works well and copies are good quality.

I feel so foolish - the DVD I tried was faulty - I assumed it was because it was a Region 1 dvd in a Region 2 player/recorder.
ha ha ha - the laugh`s on me.
Alba RDVD1006 Region Unlock Hack
Does anyone have a region code hack for an Alba RDVD1006.
I went into argos a couple of days ago to buy an Alba RDVD1002 but they gave me an Alba RDVD1006 instead.
I cannot find any reference to this anywhere.
