Page 1 of Alba RDVD1006 Region Unlock Hack

Does anyone have a region code hack for an Alba RDVD1006.

I went into argos a couple of days ago to buy an Alba RDVD1002 but they gave me an Alba RDVD1006 instead.

I cannot find any reference to this anywhere.

Was given this model as a substitute by Argos for an out of stock RDVD1002. It failed after two days when the message "Preparing" appeared on this display with the machine locked up. It had to be reset by disconnecting from the mains supply. The replacment had exactly the same fault so suspect there is batch or design problem with this model.

I feel so foolish - the DVD I tried was faulty - I assumed it was because it was a Region 1 dvd in a Region 2 player/recorder.

ha ha ha - the laugh`s on me.

I had a similar probem to GoldenMeadows after 2 days however I have never had it since.

When I switched it off and switched it back on again - all the settings were saved so I didn`t lose anything.

It works well and copies are good quality.

its not multiregion out of the box when bought from ASDA... anyone willing/able to help?

hi i was wondering if you ever did get a hack for the alba rdvd1006 i`m now having he same problem after taken a dvd recorder back to the shop as it was not working, they did not have the model i wanted so gave me the alba >:(
