RE: Thomson 24WT25US

No luck with the RCE codes I`m afraid - I cannot believe that it cannot be done, it does not even seem as though you can have the machine chipped!

Not given up yet though, so keep checking back!

RE: Wharfdale DVD 750 Problems- Any Help Much Appreciated

Hi, its about time somebody wrote an autobiog for the 750 and its family, there seem to be soooooooo many issues, pro`s, and con`s, but I am glad to say most of mine have been pro`s!

Ok, to the question in fact, and this is from all the other postings, and some personal experience.

I have an original 750 from Tesco April 2000. Great, hack available for R1 disks too, even better, then there is the problem with RCE - as far as I am aware this is only the case with the 750 whereby it will not play RCE disks. Ok, Tesco`s step, becaused there are a few RCE R2 disks, this has caused a problem with Wharfedale and Tesco, although Tesco Cust Care line is offering to update the chip (Which I had done recently), free of charge, the only stipulation is that you must have one of the disks that are not playing corrently, best one is JAWS! Once this has been done, they hey presto - problems seem to disappear! - Good Luck :-)

RE: Thomson 24WT25US

Geoff - There is a hack for everything, and you`ll be glad to know.....

The hack for the combi DVD/TV is:-

Press - FastForward & open/close & OK together on the front panel

Hey Presto, now set to Region 0

One things to bear in mind this would still give you problems with RCE coded disks such as R1 The Hollowman. As yet, I have not seen a way around this, but believe me, I am looking for one!

Regards....

Richard

Panasonic A115

Please.......does anybody know of a hack to allow this player to make this player multi-region

Cheers.......

RE: Where have all the Wharfedale 750(s) gone

David,

I have a 750 (Not upgraded), and R1`s don`t get much smoother - check the TV settings like the others said - I had to set mine to Auto!

Rich

RE: How good is www.play247.com!

I agree, they are tops! One of the quickest turnarounds going! Ok, so the R1`s are not that cheap! But hey, you are getting them quickly, and quite a while b4 they come out here!

Anyway, can you get em cheaper with the same Free delivery????

Wharfy and Jaws

Hi, I am just about to purchase Jaws for my Wharfy so that I can get Tesco to update the player to the new firmware. Can anybody tell me the problems that you encounter before the upgrade takes place please.

Thanks........Manic!

RE: mp3 burning

I would also suggest trying Audiograbber. Its quick, friendly, and as you should expects connects to CDDB. Would not do without it!

Also, check out MP3CD Maker www.zy2000.com

Totally faultless for making your mp3 collection available to play on your home/car stereo!

Wharfy 750 and Hollowman R1

Guys and Gals - After recently using the hack for my Wharfy, and being very happy I have now come across this little pain!

RCE on Hollowman - how can I get around it - apart from taking the player back (not an option), or letting Aiwia Rock even further!!!

Help please - Tar

Wharfedale 750 and mp3

Hi - I have the Wharfedale 750. If I get the upgrade that allows it to plays Jaws, will it also allow Mp3`s to be played too, or is that specifically a feature of the 750s????

Thomson Integrated TV and DVD

All, I have just purchased the new Thomson TV/DVD combi Model 24wt25us - It is totally excellent, with the exception that I cannot seem to find a hack to multi-region it???? Any ideas or answers would be really appreciated. - Rich
