Anyone have a hack for this new combined DVD/TV?

Geoff - There is a hack for everything, and you`ll be glad to know.....

The hack for the combi DVD/TV is:-

Press - FastForward & open/close & OK together on the front panel

Hey Presto, now set to Region 0

One things to bear in mind this would still give you problems with RCE coded disks such as R1 The Hollowman. As yet, I have not seen a way around this, but believe me, I am looking for one!

The hack you have kindly provided will convert the unit to Region 0 (i.e. Region Free) but do u know of any way to force it to a particular Region Code (e.g. R1)

Yes !

I found a kind of a workaround.
In the Thomson Main Menu you can program your
own "playlist" (Sequence of chapters, Tracks)
If you do this and start the sequence, the movie
will play without any problems.

Only thing is : the sequence is limited to a number of
20 Entries ( = Chapters ) so if you have a film like
charlies angels with 24 chapters you will have to
reprogramm the list after the first 20 chapters.

No luck with the RCE codes I`m afraid - I cannot believe that it cannot be done, it does not even seem as though you can have the machine chipped!

Not given up yet though, so keep checking back!

I`m sincerely glad to hear there is a hack for everything but do you know the one of the 32" combi DVD/TV - this hack doesn`t work on this model (Thomson 32WT45US)

Any assistance you could give me would be really appreciated
