RE: help- hack known for JVC XV 523 GD ?
I`m pretty sure the 523 is the same as my 522 apart from colour. I looked everywhere for a hack and found out it has to be chipped. FYI I used dvdchips.co.uk
Good luck

RE: JVC XV-522 I need a Hack, Please..!!!!!
Had my 522 chipped by dvdchips.co.uk & works fine.
RE: IS IT POSSIBLE TO CHIP WITHOUT SOLDERING
My advice is to let the chipping co do it for you. I CAN solder and I still made a right pigs ear and had to send it in for the chipping co to finish off !!
RE: help jvc 522
I used dvdchips.co.uk and my 522 works fine. They were helpful and perhaps the cheapest ??
RE: jvc 522sl region hack
Steve is right. I`ve looked everywhere for the hack and got Steve to chip mine in the end. Works fine.
RE: Hack For JVC XV522 Needed!!!!!!!! PLEASE
I`ve got the same model. Looked for ages ! Had to get it chipped in the end. Try dvdchips.co.uk
I do advise to let them do it as I had a go and had to send it in before I done too much damage ! The choice is yours ?

RE: HELP!!! JVC XV-522 Multi Regional Hack Needed!
I`ve got the same model and looked everywhere for a hack and had to get it chipped in the end. I recommend that if you decide to have it chipped you let the experts do it (extra cost of course) as the chip to remove is tiny and surface mount. I had a go but damaged the PCB and had to send it in. I used dvdchips.co.uk and it works fine.

RE: `Chipping` players
Try dvdchips.co.uk
They "chipped" my JVC and were approx £20 cheaper than techtronics.

RE: jvc xv522
Mark,
I recommend you let Steve do the Mod unless you are an expert in surface mount chip removal. I had a go then had to send it in. End result.......works a treat.

RE: JVC XV-523GD Multi region Hack
As a satisfied customer of dvdchips.co.uk I must recommend the service as they chiped my JVC-XV522 (same as yours but in Silver). Do the DIY only if your a soldering expert as the chip to remove is tiny and surface mount. I had a go but had to send it in before I did too much damage. The choice is yours ?
RE: many thanks to STEVE HOYLE from:DVD CHIPS!!!
Agreed.
I came to this forum for a solution and it was provided by Steve.
RE: needed hack code for jvc xv-523gd dvd
This player is the same as the 522 which I have and cannot be hacked without a mod chip. Try dvdchips.co.uk

RE: JV BL@@DY C XV-522
Nathan,
Steve @ dvdchips.co.uk has delveloped a mod chip for the JVC. I recommend letting Steve do it as I made a right pigs ear of it and had to send it to in to Steve to be fixed. Costs £26 DIY or £60 done for you inc return courier.
