RE: Sky+ £49 with refurbed box

Got mine installed at 8.20 am yesterday! Had fun with one of the installation guys walking into my conservatory door!

Ordered Friday, so mine was a 3 day turnaround also. The guy at SKY took some convincing that the offer was genuine, and when he went through the cancellation process came back and said that as I was thinking of cancelling, they could offer it to me! Excellent!

It is a PACE V2 Box, all in original retail packaging, and the instruction book says it is a 2001 model, so 4 years old. When asked about the quality of the refurbs, SKY said that they are models that were returned within 1 month of subscription, and then completely re-fitted as new, so new insides, old outside, and guaranteed for 12 months.

Best bargain I`ve spotted here! Thanks!!

RE: The Beatles Anthology 5 disc DVD boxset cheap

Got the e-mail to confirm despatch Sunday, received it Monday. My postman took it back to the sorting office, I would be miffed if it was left outside. Can`t believe what a bargain this is! Can`t wait to vegetate for several hours!!!

RE: 3 to go video mobile - £50

When I ordered mine, I paid via Visa for the phones, and when it came to the Direct Debit screen, you had a pulldown option for either DD or Cheque. I chose cheque.

I guess they will bill me when I go over the £10 a month. That way they didn`t need my bank details, as I was a bit reluctant to give them out to them.

As it`s not a normal pay as you go per se, you could quite easily accumulate a large bill if you`re not careful!!

My phones arrived this morning, and I must say they are an absolute bargain. In reality with the £10 a month free content for 3 months, that works out to a £20 phone.

Had a play with converting files to 3g on the PC, and downloaded them to the phone. I can now watch the Return of the King trailer anywhere!!

RE: 3 to go video mobile - £50

Tell me where I can download the videos on the net, or what to search for on google.

Just ordered two today, more as a gimmick/toy than anything else.

RE: Attention Bargain Hunters!!

Got mine from Movietyme.com, when it was first advertised, for a stonking £5.99 !!

Bloody good movie by the way!!

RE: James Bond Box Set £169.99

I believe MGM will be doing a deal in the Autumn along the lines of their VHS deal ie: Buy Bond, get Bond free. That is £19.99 for 2. This is to tie in with the cinema relase of Die Another Day.

RE: Ealing Comedy Collection from amazon.co.uk for just £13.92!

I got the same e-mail from Amazon this morning. Top marks to them for honouring all orders. I used a £5 voucher, and got the set for £11.67 inclusive! Even more of a bargain!

RE: Robocop Trilogy £19.99/ X Files S3 £39.99/ Apes Boxset £29.99!!!!!!!

Last time I looked, yesterday, they had at least 2 of everything on display. It`s not a sale, and they all appear to be brand new sealed. I`m going there in about 10 minutes on my lunch break, so when I get back I`ll let you know what they`ve got left.

Just got back. They have 2 X-Files boxsets, 3 or 4 Planet of the Apes, 3 Robocops, plus a few Dirty Harry`s, along with :

Magnificent 7 collection £24.99
Nightmare On Elm St Collection £24.99
Omen Trilogy £24.99
They have a lot of titles at £9.99

Also the revised opening times are now 08.00 - 19.00.

They will be getting new stock on Friday if they run out.

RE: Robocop Trilogy £19.99/ X Files S3 £39.99/ Apes Boxset £29.99!!!!!!!

It is directly opposite Liverpool St station, next to Next, and the opening hours are Mon - Fri 9.00-5.30. They`re closed Sat & Sun.

Robocop Trilogy £19.99/ X Files S3 £39.99/ Apes Boxset £29.99!!!!!!!

A local shop, near where I work in London, have got some absolute bargains. Here are a few:

Robocop Trilogy £19.99
X Files Season 3 Boxset £39.99
Planet of The Apes Boxset £29.99
Dirty Harry Collection £29.99

They also have a load of cheap VHS bargains including the Babylon 5 Crusade Complete Boxset for £19.99.

The shop is called Y2K at 33 Liverpool Street. I don`t have a phone number, for them as I don`t think they do mail order, but if anyone is in London, it`s worth the trip across town.

RE: Cheap Video Cds

Try http://www.videomas.com.

They`re based in Malaysia, and are pretty quick to ship, about 1 week. I`ve ordered from them before and have had no problems.

Movietyme Bargains !!

Over at http://www.movietyme.com they have got 2 movies on sale in their Angry Dexter section.

They are Valentine £7.99 & Sweet November £7.99.

Cheap, but are they really any good, even at that price ?

They`ve also got TPM in stock. Mine`s on it`s way !!

Video Essentials DVD $15 incl. postage !!

Just received a newsletter from DVD Talk, and they have the Video Essentials DVD, which normally retails for $50 ( £36 ), at $15 ( £10.86 )including postage, even to the UK it seems. This is a 72 hour sale and ends on Friday.

Sopranos Boxset £24.99 !! Omen Trilogy £24.99 !!

I recently recieved a catalogue from http://www.planetmusic.es in which they are selling the Sopranos 1st season boxset for £24.99 plus postage making the total £30.47 !

The only downside is that the box is in Spanish, but the discs are all identical to the UK releases.

Some other bargains they have include:

CE3K £12.99
Hitchcock 3 DVD set £12.99
Traffic £12.99

and they also appear to have The Neverending Story for £12.99 !

All of these titles can only be ordered via Mail Order, as their website doesn`t get updated very often. To obtain their catalogue, just e-mail :
ofni[at]se.cisumtenalp

They are fairly quick to respond. I have yet to order anything from them but if anyone has, let me know.

RE: Austin Powers 2 : R1 or R2, Which is best?

I bought the R1 when it first came out, and I`m glad I did as the Canned Ham Spoof Doc is worth the price of the disc alone, and is criminally missing from the R2 release due to rights problems.

So buy the R1. You won`t regret it!

RE: The 6th Day / 5.1 or 2.0 ?

Cheers. I will buy my copy forthwith !

The 6th Day / 5.1 or 2.0 ?

Can anyone help?

I want to buy the 6th Day R2 (yes I know it`s probably a load of crap, but I`m curious).

On the back of the box it says that the sound is 2.0, and not 5.1. Is this true. If it is I`ll steer clear, as I at least want to hear the film the way it was meant to be heard.
