Abyss
I just got Abyss SE, and I hate the fact that they edited the scene where the rat is submerged in the liquid breathing fluid. Anyone feel the same?
I know some people don`t like it, but why skip the scene? The rat isn`t going to feel any better, or should I say the rat wouldn`t feel any better if it were alive, not showing it. Don`t get me wrong here. I don`t get any kick out of hurting animals. But now that I`ve seen the movie with the scene in it, it just doesn`t seem whole without it.
RE: Scary Movie 2
I for one hated Scary Movie. I didn`t actually go see it, my friend had it on dvd and was watching it once when I was over at his place.
This time I will be prepared. I will indeed do my very best to boycott SM2.
Problem with easteregg
I canĀ“t enter the easteregg on my Abyss SE. I have a Thomson DTH4500. Any advise?
Curiosity
I`m wondering what kind of goodies they will include in DVD release of StarWars eps.1-6. I`m sure there is tons of stuff available.
RE: Where do FutureEnts Adult Discs Get Dispatched?
It`s great to hear that so many have concerns regarding their friends exotic DVD purchase. And even greater that they talk to you guys about it. And the greatest thing is that friends can watch them together for better (quality) or worse (wink tpr007 ;-) )
Adult films are great, aren`t they?
RE: Is the DVD Phenomenon Over ?
I think this is the case with all things new. For instance, sixteen+ years back when I started `playing around` with radiocontrolled planes I thought the hobby was limitless in every respect. But for the past few years it`s been a bit stagnant. This is possibly because I now have more experience. But others who have only just seen the light, probably think differently.
Not that I`m into astrology, but I`ve heard that gemini`s are restless, and that they can`t dwell on any one subject for very long. This description fits me like a glove. But I think it works for others too.
So in, say 5 or 10 years, (I`ve just bought my 1. DVD player) I`ll be looking for something new even though the DVD media will not be past it`s prime by then.
RE: movies you like which no-one else does...
Ditto on Deep inpact, it`s not as much Hollywood/hero crap as Armageddon. My experience is that the same people that liked Armageddon hate 12 monkeys. I suppose they don`t understand it. Or they have no tolerance. One has to be open minded when watching scifi`s.
RE: The greatest movie cliches ever
...yeah and when someone thinks he is destroying some important data, shoots and/or beats up the computer case not even checking if the harddrive is intact or not...
RE: movie moments that now make you cringe
ID4 is just about the biggest load of horse dung ever (less the effects which are great)
Ex. Will Smith punching crashed alien and saying "Welcome to planet earth"
......I feel sick!
RE: Game on - 50 Frag limit.
OH MY GOD!!! I have a looooong way to go.
I`ve got 2, still need the player though ;-)
RE: Favourite extra features
I for one like the fx and behind the scene stuff. Well perhaps I should look for an `all effects` DVD with a compilation of `behind the scenes` from many great movies...
RE: What is the best opening scene/sequence ever?
Hmmm... the one who haunts me has to be the not-quite-opening-scene scene (but in the beginning) of Titan AE. Where the helicopter thingamajigs fly overhead, and when the Drej mothership pounds its ray of death down on our poor helpless planet and blows it to kingdom kong. This, ladies and gentlemen, has to be the greatest opening scene/sequence ever! At least the greatest opening of an animated film anyway.
RE: Modchip or remote hack?
Thanks a MILLION for your answer!
Modchip or remote hack?
What`s the modchip good for? To be able to play all regions? I was told that Thomson DTH4500 was able to play all regions, granted you use a remote hack. Then why would I need a modchip?
RE: Any experience...?
Hmmm... I`m confused. I was told that DTH4500 was able to play all regions, granted you use the remote hack that is. What do you need the modchip for then?
Any experience...?
I`m thinking of buying a Thomson DTH4500 player, and I was wondering if anyone has any experience with it, good or bad.
