Just begining to realise what a fantastic deal this was, and I`m kicking myself for missing out...

I`ve tried a few stores in and around London but so far no joy in tracking any down, if anyone knows where there are any left please, please let me know.

Hi triplesod,
I just tried the 0870 513 4262 "Store Location" line. They can`t tell me if there are any left in the stores in North / West Yorkshire or I would`ve collected one for ya. There are about 15 or 16 stores around us and I don`t fancy trawling each of these. Unfortunately the Store Location line won`t give any individual store numbers out either! Customer Service or Not!

Sorry mate, did try.

Cheers mate, much appreciated.

It`s amazing how they won`t give out the numbers.

I`m sure one store somewhere still has one of these machines left. The search continues....

I think you`ll be VERY lucky to find a store that actually has one left. My local Aldi had three in stock, they were all gone by 11am on the first day of the offer (9th Jan). However, don`t be too disheartened: shops like Aldi do these offers fairly regularly. The Medion PC`s they were selling this time round were actually the leftover stock from the same offer run before Christmas (see review here, which actually suggests if you catch the offer first time round in future, you can order one if they sell out: http://vnunet.com/Products/Hardware/1137711). If you do a search for "medion aldi" in Google you will get shed loads of german/dutch/various european-language pages, suggesting that Aldi is actually a major outlet for Medion PC`s across the channel. All of which suggests that there will indeed be a future offer. If I were you I`d keep checking their adverts for upcoming offers, and when the next one arrives, stake out the shop so you can scoot in at 9am and bag yourself a bargain!

Hi Pistol,
I bought the laptop (Medion MD 9783) when the offer first came out last year on the back of the review from Computeractive. Now I can`t seem to find this review anywhere on their site. I don`t s`pose you or anyone else could help intracking this down? Like you said, if i put this into google I get all the German sites and even with the translation on, they `aint that helpful.
Cheers either way.

Triplesod,

I posted that original thread, I don`t think they were new in when I saw them, so I would have thought if they were going to sell out, then they would have by then. I don`t go in there regularly or I`d have had a look, but you could phone their Store Location Line mentioned above:

0870 513 4262

and ask to be put through to the Hartlepool, Dunston Road store. For some reason Aldi don`t publicise their store phone numbers, you have to go through that central number.

If they did have one, I`m not sure how`d you`d get it though, I doubt they`d deliver to you, unless you could get them to transfer one to your local store for you to pick up. I`ve had other stores do that for me before.

If I can get over there, I`ll pop in and have a look, see if I can get the store number off them.

Mark.
