3 for £40 at WHSmith

Rich Goodman (Admin) posted this on Monday, 15th January 2001, 19:48

Hi folks,

This is probably one of the best high street deals around at the moment, and I believe that it applies to a reasonable selection of discs from WHSmith Online too.

The lowdown is that you can select 3 discs priced 19.99 or less, and pay just 40 pounds for all three. That works out as 13.33 per disc.

Hi Rich,
A good deal if you are new to the world of DVD`s,otherwise a very poor selection online or not. That`s my view -"happy hunting"

I agree, especially as Play247.com normally start their Region 2 dics with 25% off anyway. Meaning their DVD`s come around at about £15 each time.

That`s true and I must confess that I`ve not bought a disc from the high street in months because of higher prices, but if you can find three discs that you want in WH Smith then this offer is very good indeed.

Especially when they will give £25 of credit towards the DVDs in exchange for Walking With Dinosaurs.

Now I wonder where that came from . . . :-)

Well I am very new to DVDs and I thought it was good deal in store where it wasn`t just restricted to the 50 titles on the web site. It included practically everything in the top 10 except Gladiator and some classics like Jaws, Jurassic Park.

Very good I say, if only the other high street stores followed. I personally got Drive:SE and Once Upon A Time in China which I was hunting(all online retailers charge more than these), and picked up Bridge over the River Kwai out of curiousity (2 disc for £13.33 , not bad eh?).
