Unbelievable THX PC speaker bargain, please look in!!!....

As recommended by Westy, Aria have some of these in for £46 inc VAT. I have a set on my PC, and for anyone wanting a cheap surround sound kit for their DVD player, it`s great - remember it DECODES DD5.1, and the sub is pretty convincing.

Oh my god!!!! :o :o :o :o :o

Peeps, snap a set up without ANY hesitation!! Ok in larger rooms absolute volume is a little lost, but these babies can be cranked to full volume and not even break a sweat.

And as Richard says, that sub is pretty good too.

Please, for £50 - that`s cheaper than a night on the sauce ;)

These look good, would I be able to get full DD 5.1 by wiring them directly to my Acoustic Solutions DVD551, as I only have a Pro Logic receiver. How would my set up work?

Cheers

Nick

Indeed yes they will

Simply connect your dvd to the coaxial digital input on the Sub unit of the speaker set and you`re in!

Fabulous sound i must confess. Got one on my PC and the sound is fantastic for only 50 sheets

Don`t think they`ll do for my main system downstairs, though.

Nice spot, though, cheers.

I know almost nothing about subs and DD 5.1, apart from the little I`ve learned on this site, but I`ve purchased this anyway for my bedroom setup. I`m using an LG 4710 at the moment which I know outputs DD, but I`ll also be looking forward to cranking up some tunes with this sub...cheers folks!!!!

Oh yeah, a question while I remember. What extra cabling will I need to buy? I don`t own any coaxial connections. I am planning on plugging the sub either into my DVD player directly, using a coaxial plug, or directly into my amplifier, again with the coaxial. Help! :)

As a short term measure, you can just use a single phono cable. However, I`m sure the speaker set comes with a coax lead, so don`t panic. Not sure it will be worth upgrading that cable - Westy?
