I think you are right (it says so in the description anyway).
But , erm , in my ignorance , what exactly does that mean?
Will you be able to get digital text on it - if so what can`t you do?

Be careful about buying a Freeview box from Argos!

I bought a Freeview box from them and unfortunately I cannot get a digital signal in my area (even though the Freeview website said I could).

Argos refused to give me my money back as all of their Freeview boxes are exempt from their 16 day money-back guarantee (which is clearly stated in the catalogue and on-line). A friend of my mother had the same problem with Index.

Be careful!

If you want a cheap interactive box get the Sagem 602 from Woolworths for £59.99 , I bought one the other week and it is very good value for money.

andrew281,

Assuming it`s all still in mint condition, do you want to sell that box to me?

Adam

I let my mind wander....and it didn`t come back.

yes what does non-interactive mean? You can`t change channels, get teletext, what?

Lack of interactive:

As I understand it, the `magic red button` will be pretty much useless.

Plenty of BBC programmes offer interactive content. Question Time, Walking With Dinosaurs, etc etc, usually along the lines of `press the red button to find out more/ play games/ discuss topics...`

I don`t think non-interactivity will affect text.

I wouldn`t mind somebody else confirming this though..
