DVD`s Without Cases

G Roberts (Competent) posted this on Sunday, 29th February 2004, 12:36

Hello there peeps

When i went into my local blockbuster the other day i noticed that they had quite a few bargains on their dvds without the cases such as star trek nemesis igby goes down as well as a few others for £3.99.

A similar incident happened at my local woolies they had the new charlie chaplin dvd set on the shelves for £22 and then they had the same dvds in a "lost its case" wallet for £3.99

I was just wondering if anybody else has come across any other shops or similar stores which offer the dvds without the boxes at good prices. Some good bargains can be picked up.

Noticed my local Asda had some at a couple of quid... they were mostly CDs without cases but there were a few DVDs. Nothing that I really wanted though.

At Blockbuster I picked up Triple X brand new without a case for £3.99. They also had other new ones including The Scorpian King and The Mummy Returns. They had ex-rentals without cases for the same price including Chicago, The Guru and Star Trek Nemesis.

Worth checking Woolworth`s too - even in our Local store they had some - a lot of Friends and Have I Got News For You (Guest Presenters), as well as some Christmas movies for a fiver a throw.
