Well, I can`t afford £35.00 right now but I was quite chuffed at the weekend to get all the videos for 50p each at a car boot sale!
Even got the Christmas Carol one - £4.50 in total, now that`s a bargain!!

If you can, get the R1 instead, it has an extra disc with Back and Forth and Christmas Carol on.

I got the one from amazon, and it`s perfectly adequate, although i wish they`d done some commentaries! Personally I wouldn`t bother with the R1 version as Back and Forth and Christmas Carol pale in comparrison to the series.

If you`re not a particular Blackadder fan then the R2 is of course `adequate`.

If you ARE a fan, the R1 is the only way to go. Personally, I think the Christmas Carol episode was one of the best in the life of the Blackadders.

Does R1 include `The cavalier years`?

Yes it does include `The Cavalier Years` and a few extra bits of historical stuff and biogs by Tony Robinson. However unfortunately `Back and Forth` is full frame, not widescreen.

It is good to watch Everything oin chronological order though.
