Slimline PS2 & the younger family members
Christmas is coming & the wife says I am getting fat
Shes going to take a shilling out of the old mans hat
(or at least give my credit limit a thrashing to within a inch of its life)
After much deliberation, purchased a PS2 (slimline) for my daughter, as shes younger I took a bit of care (OK OK I just saw the bundle & not seeing anything more suitable or comparable for her age group) & jumped in flashing my CC.
For £144.99 at MVC gets you
Slimline PS2
Second (non Sony Controller)
Finding Nemo
Simpsons Hit & Run
Sonic (the Hedgehog) Heroes
Scooby Doo 100 Fright Nights
Not a bad deal IMO (we have the Eye Toy from Big Brothers Bigger PS2 (he`s going to be well possed Christmas morning)) in the lack of any other suitable bundles for the younger gamer.
If Mac users are "more intelligent than the average computer user," why do they need an operating system designed for complete idiots?

The drawer slides out same as before (I think), opted for the PS2 because the number of games she has on the PSone & she could always borrow bigger bro`s games if he lets her.

The PS2 slim has a top loading, flip up top for the discs. There is also some good bundles at Toys R Us more suited to the younger gamer.
Currys (DSG) are also doing some good deals. You can get the following for £120 delivered :-
Playstation 2 Console
Game: Soul Calibur 2
Game: International Cue Club
Game: Mad Catz Xploder Lite 2
Game: Rollercoaster World
Madcatz Dance Mat
Lighted DVD remote
You can get the GTA San Andreas pack too with 10% off if you order at the same time. This consists of :-
Game: GTA San Andreas
Game: DRAKENGARD
CHEATS DISC
CONTROLLER
If you use the discount voucher that is available, this little lot comes in at just over £140, which seems like a bargain :D :D Not to mention the £10 voucher for spending over £100.

RE: Slimline PS2 & the younger family members
Just popped into the local Currys (literally on my back doorstep), was about to correct the "flip-top" earlier post.
Only the Game & dancemat would have been of any use to her, the games could be passed onto the brother, but I would still have to buy replacements for her, the bundle isnt suitable for everyone I admit, but for the child concerned I think its the best I could hope to achieve.
One currently one happy daddy having solved one child now for Christmas, just two more to go & then the wife. :)
