Page 1 of Sony 28 inch flat widescreen @ Sainsburys half price £249

Just got back from picking up a loaf and a mirco meal at Sainsburys and they have reduced their Sony 28 inch flat w/s from £499 to £249 but guess what ???
They are out of stock and the guy said they are struggling to get them.

Is this is a good box ?
Does anyone know where they have stock ?

My local is Burton on Trent kind of East Midlands-ish between Birmingham and Derby but .... anyway....

Just a quick note on a quiet day.

Also just picked up 2 vacuum storage bags from Aldi for £2.99 for 2 (QVC selling £20+ for 5)

just got in from my local one too, got bag of donuts for 50p, best time to go for cakes.

anyway i saw a sony 28inch too didnt look too closely but i did see £499, thought that was a bit dear and walked away, if the price was right we are looking for a new set but not that price, but i think there was another sticker on, may have been a half price one. they had a few left, crosby, liverpool.

You`re right about good time for cheap stuff. I was tempted by a hot chicken for £1.20 but I just walked away :(

I was wondereing if anyone could recommend this TV set ?
I don`t know what Sony quality is like, esp. in this price range.

I`ve had my eye on that model in Sains for a while but at £499 just too expensive.
Now its half price I just don`t know.

Anyway, I`ll probably just um and ahh and then they`ll all be gone!

id been out for a meal but didnt feel like any dessert, so stopped there on way home, saw reduced donuts, dessert sorted.

we have been thinking about a widescreen for a while, not bothered about it being an older one, but prices are around £300+ for a decent one, not that dear but after xmas and all. but that price is really good, but as you said would like some feedback on that model first. might be worth doing a check online, do you know the model number, i didnt look that closely, but ive had a quick look on the usual sites and there are a few sony`s at £499 so it maybe one of them, also it doesnt show up on sainsbury`s website.

I actually do have the model number (no really !!)( sad ?? me ?? )

Punched it into me mobile whilst in t`shop.... I could feel a web search coming on.

No `reviews` yet but plenty of other prices around 350 - 370 mark.

i had a quick look found some like yourself for £350-400 so £250 is very good, it didnt have a stand, how much are they normally

Its not a brilliant spec but if i was in the market for one its a great price.

are u kiddin me - £250 for a brand new 28" Sony widescreen - thats a no brainer.

I dont need a telly at the moment ( i got 4!) but that is a fantastic price.

Never mind all this plasma screen bollx - 40 odd years of development means that a new sony tv will be good - for 250 quid it will be great!...buy buy buy buy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

doesw anyone know if sainsburys still have stands for the Lodos ws sets they were selling from late last year? .

Just picked up the last one at the Sainsburys in Bristol.
It`s not a bad set especially at £250.
Did`nt get a stand with it, but thats not a problem.
