You recovered fully yet?
I just had a quick look over on MSE & you really got verbally duffed up didn`t you? Seemed a tad OTT to me really.
Ta for this though, currently looking aound at pc deals...
Water off a ducks back! (Or was it another part of ducks anatomy, Can`t remember) Too busy posting on other sites to care about lame comments. When was freedom of information revoked?

You think he got a roasting?
You should see some of the bile that passes for "concern for other members" that has been directed at me by certain MSE users - and that`s only because I have the *potential* to earn money through affiliate links, not because I actually use them on MSE (I always provide non-affiliate links in my posts). There have even been innocent bystanders hurt in the crossfire in the past as my attacker has sometimes simply assumed that anyone who chooses to defend me must be one of my stooges and therefore deserving of the same treatment.
Unfortunately the small minority that tries to score points off easy targets in order to boost their own standing in the community has ruined it for the majority there. I shan`t name names but anyone who`s been a member of MSE for any length of time will know who I`m talking about.
BTW, I read somewhere that this code was for 10% off. Not tested that theory yet but worth mentioning nonetheless.

Having recently been banned from a site for making comments about affiliation links, Vouchers and codes I know where you are coming from.
I even attempted to credit other sites and sources but got more grief for doing so because it supposedly controvened the lapse T&C there. Even when other threads were using them.
Some of these sites were recommended by me months before they were even known to users on said web site or any affilliation was in place!
I get emailed periodically by Gamestracker about Game price updates. They sometimes have codes to get further reductions. Time and again these would be removed referring to affiliated links that were @ higher prices.

What is MSE? MSE.co.uk or MSE.com are obviously NOT what you are talking about!
Click here. YOU ARE THE SEARCH ENGINE!
www.moneysavingexpert.co.uk/com...can`t remember which?
Yes...on some sites it`s self appointed individuals that like to cause a stir - on others, it`s simply the self-serving nature of the site that bans mention of deals without their own affiliated links being used.
I have been asked, on a number of occasions, about whether I intend to set up a forum on my site. I don`t think it would be useful to do so as there are already too many bargain forums around and I like to think that by not including a forum I can actually keep the signal/noise ratio on my site very high. Of course, it does mean that the coverage of my site is heavily slanted towards what I think most people want to read (and I don`t always get that right). However, sometimes it`s quality rather than quantity that matters most as many people don`t have the time to trawl all the forums for the odd gem hidden among a sea of dross and irrelevant arguments.
cheers,
RM
I`ve seen your site RM & it`s very useful as it is mate.
If it aint broke...
