SE S700i - now only £198 minimum term cost on contract? (WAS £225)
Update (12/04/05): Price reduced (from £225) - same links as before - see Michael`s addendum below for more details.
My jaw hit the floor when I saw this - if you recall, this handset was (very briefly) a bargain on contract at £360 minimum term cost last December. It`s been resolutely more expensive until recently, and now this deal popped out at me while I was casually browsing around:
E2Save
Sony Ericsson S700i
Vodafone Anytime 200 (12 months)
200 Anytime XNET minutes per month
Line rental: £30/month
Itemised Billing: £1.50/month (optional - can be cancelled)
Network offer: 3 months 1/2 price (worth £45)
Retailer offer: £90 cashback (£45 after 6 months, £45 after 12 months)
Total minimum term cost = £225 (equiv to £18.75/month)
I can`t seem to find anyone else offering cashback for this handset on a similarly priced tariff so that makes it at least £90 cheaper than the competition. I wonder how long it will be before E2Save decide to reduce/remove the cashback listed against this package?
As if that`s not enough, it`s available on Evening and weekend 1000 @ only £19.99 - total minimum term cost of £259.99.

This still says a 12 month contract, whether it`s a misprint or not?

RE: SE S700i - only £225 minimum term cost on contract? surely not!
Yup - well spotted that man.
I too was caught out by their change from 10 months @ 9.99 to 9 months @ 9.99 and the change in the network offer text from "£15 for 3 months on your bill" to "£21 for 3 months on your bill". I was writing an article for my site based on the 10 month deal when they changed the offer.
I`ve now changed the title of the thread so that people will know that the deal has just got cheaper.

RE: SE S700i - only £225 minimum term cost on contract? surely not!
still great price but a bit of a downside, Vodafone s700i`s have a horible firmware vereion on them apparently which stops certain things like mp3 ringtones and basically makes the phone run like a dog (this is from a mate who works for cpw, and has had the phone). Worth looking at the 02 offers, maybe not as cheap but the branding is less and functionality is increased slightly.
