Interesting. Anyone care to comment on their statement: "VAT is not payable on this item as it is sent to you in a consignment of less that £18 in value"?

What do they charge for postage?

I was reading an article at the weekend, it seems that, under pressure from HMG, the Jersey authorities have advised some of the companies that are operating `virtual` businesses in Jersey that they have 12 months to relocate or cease operation. The same article indicated that the authorities in Guernsey were not considering similar action.

BTW p&p is £3.95. Good price for the 1GB card. Ebuyer have the same card on free delivery but it still works out a few pence more.

I have never used 7dayshop but my brother has and he has been pleased with the service. He purchased some NiMH AAA cells and one of them had a slightly kinked case. He called them and they sent a fresh pack of 4 and didn`t require the damaged one returned.

Amazon are doing the same card for £22.13 including free postage.

Once you`ve paid 7DS for the postage its only a few pennies more. And Amazon`s arrive within 5 days (unlike 2 weeks from 7DS). When I purchased 5 SD cards from 7DS recently their price dropped within a few days of receiving them :( . And No they didn`t refund the difference.

Niteowl I had a similar issue and challenged them to do what SVP do and refund the difference if they drop the price within 7 days. Guess what they said NO

Canon original cartidges are a good price as are their batteries - we do a group order here at work so the P&P is insignificant

Jezbar, I sent them a note saying the cards for for kids local school digital cameras and they needed all the savings they could get. Their reply was Quote:
"if you purchased something and the price went up would you expect to pay the difference".

My answer was "yes or cancel the order as some sites make mistakes on their pricing, but then they also honour the lower rate to keep loyal customers". I also mentioned that I could have got them from Amazon and claimed back the VAT for the school and I wouldn`t have been charged for the delivery. No reply from them - no surprise. I`m sure they`ll lose a lot of business because of the vat issue.
