cheers buddy :) i allready have the w800i & it`s a cracking phone with only 2 minor niggles, both of which are cure on the w810i :D

so i just ordered one, i`ll flog my w800i & tel the missus it`s all your fault i`ve spent more money & i hope you don`t mind, but i forewarded your email addy to the wife, cos it`s obviously your fault i`ve been lead astray (again) ;)

dunno why, but i just got an email decling my order :/ which is odd because i`ve recently used onestope & carphone wharehouse. this is the email i got.

& telling you to contact Equifax or Experion usualy means you`ve been blacklisted :/ yet both me & my wife both already have running contracts with o2, & have never missed a bill or paid late (direct debit) & we also don`t have any outstanding debts, (other than a loan & our mortgauge, both of which are allways paid on time & have never missed a payment :/ )

the only thing i can think of is the fact that we already have 2 contracts with o2 in the houshold & they won`t allow me to have 2 contracts in my name at the same time ? still very bizare :/

Now that is wierd. I wanted one of these to go on holiday with & was ready to sign up with all documents etc ready to go on a CPW contract in Leeds (none in stock locally). Went in, went through all the credit checks etc & they declined me...wouldn`t say why, quoted data protection act. I have had nothing but O2 for about 7 years, never missed a bill, no late payments etc. I contacted O2 when I got outside & asked for an explanation, they told me, no reason for you not to have one, can we sell you one now etc, etc?? I went to a phones4u store (I know, I know :o ) & they signed me up straight away! This must be a CPW thing as most of my O2 dealings have been through CPW...ah well, their loss...anyone know where to get REAL cheap PRODUOs from?

Yes...it is definitely a CPW thing because all O2 contracts sold via a CPW store are serviced by their own service provider, Carphone Warehouse Services. They, no doubt, have their own set of criteria when assessing your credit score.

All other places that you went to would have signed you up directly with O2.

BTW...before anyone asks...CPW Services handed their Vodafone customer base back to Vodafone last month so they only administer O2 contracts now.

Cheers RM, Like I said, their loss. I will not buy from there again anyway...I doubt that`ll scare the pants off them in the grand scheme of things though! :D
I wish I knew these offers were coming up before I went but I have to say I`m very impressed with the phone & if anyone is thinking of buying one, I can personally recommend it...& going thorugh RM`s site would be good too for all the help he puts on here.

right, update time.......

as we allready know onestopphone is part of the carphone wharehouse group, now, my first contract was with CPW & they still send me letters asking if i want another contract with them, but both i & my wife both have running contracts directly with o2 (i got the w800i on the £20 month student deal)

so i sent an email to OneStopPhoneShop asking exaclty why i had been rejected, & they CATAGORICALY stated that o2 online rejected my application & that it was nowt to do with them, but i should feel free to apply for another phone if i wanted to try again, even if i want to go with o2, but unfortunately the refurb w810i is now out of stock (hmmm, thats a shock not)

what they don`t know is that i just ordered & got confirmation of acceptence + a delivery date of tomorrow directly from o2, i ordered it from the student deals page just like i did with the w800i, & on the same £18.99p student tarrif that i`m allready on (50 mins anytime & network + 100 texts anytime) this is fine for me as i`m a very light user & NEVER go over.

so in short, OneStopPhoneShop simply ran out of stock & sent a bulls*** email out to try & cover themselves.

i`m going to send them an extremely nasty email telling them what i think of them.

as for my old o2 contract, i`m gonna sell my w800i & use the cash to pay the remainder of the contract off & should actually make around £50 proffit.

also as a point of interest, the w810i i`m getting is free, brand new (not a refurb like the OneStopPhoneShop offer, & it even comes with a bluetooth headset.
