Hi Gerald

Any idea if there`s a hack to make this player multi-region?
I`ve read some comments about this elsewhere but they seem a bit contradictory.
I was wondering if you (or anybody else) know?
This is a great price for a fantastic machine.
As I have a lot of region 1 DVDs, I`m reluctant to buy until I`m really sure about this.

No hack I`m afraid - will only play R2 (or Region Free!) DVDs but HD-DVD playback itself is multiregion.

And the E1 is an older model. Better value is the EP30 with 1080 24fps support.

But do you know if there`s a hack for the EP30?

I seem to remember reading on the HCC web site that Toshiba will be providing a software upgrade for the E1 to provide support for 1080 24fps output as in the more expensive model.
